I recently had my whole house redone, and was charged $3,200.00 for sanding, polyurethane, and quarter round. Frank (the owner) came over and took measurments, and brought sample with him, of what my floors would look like without staining and with staining. I chose without, and he said that was good because it would save me money. He seemed happy to be able to save me some money. (My husband also removed the carpet himself which saved us about $75.00 per room and we had 6 rooms, a foyer, hallway, and steps done.) The estimate I was given was between $3,000 and $5,000 less then other places I called. Mike and his partner completed the job to perfection. He called me several times to let me know that there might be some discoloration, which would fade with time. When I saw it, you could hardly tell, it looked much worse before. I have beautiful floors now becasue of them. Everyone was professional and pleasant. I highly recommend Getz Harwood Floors to anyone. Thank you!

New carpet can be expensive. If you're looking to save some money Data Carpet has great prices and they do great work. When you get the new carpet installed they don't charge to remove you're old carpets or upholster the stairs. The carpets that they sell are high quality and they have a wide selection. They do offer financing and often have deals and coupons in the area papers.

Gravena Ceramic Tile is one of my favorite places when shopping for tile. I was so sick of finding the same old tile everywhere I went, so Gravena was like a breath of fresh air. They have so many different and beautiful tiles to pick from, everything from granite to ceramic. They have tiles for bathrooms, kitchens, walkways, backsplashes, and floors. The store is nice and fun to browse around, and the staff is accommodating. Parking is also good.

Psst... Here's a little known fact: according to the proprietor of this store, a lot of other hardwood floor shops buy their products from here. That's why you can get some really hot prices here. I had Brazilian Cherry installed, and it looks great! The price, at $5.69 per square foot installed, was excellent; I saved about $1.70 per squarefoot, or over one thousand dollars. The sales floor is quite nice. Don't let the plain building turn you away.
What I wasn't so thrilled with was how the "free starter kit" I agreed upon was instead a few bottles of cleaner that said "complimentary sample." But that's no big deal. I'm still very happy. The money I saved is good. Oh, but I had trouble contacting the workmen when they didn't show up on time the first day. And, they didn't speak a ton of English. But they worked well: my house looks like a million bucks!

This store has a nice collection of hardwood floors. The store manager is a very helpful and insightful person. They will help you if you want to do your own work and install the floors yourself or they will do it for you. The prices are also competitive and very reasonable. Definately worth a look.
