I too like Kurzrok as a doctor, but the office staff drove me off. My OB/GYN asked for a test result to be faxed directly to them because of a potentially serious problem... Luckily everything was okay. But 3 months later I get a phone call from Kurzrok's office saying if I want the result faxed to call back and it will cost me $35. For a 1-page fax. Three months too late. Plus 3-4 times called for refills and they didn't materialize when promised; was told that I hadn't called them in. Just too much trouble.

The office staff has forced me to take my patient care somewhere else. They are the first step in patient care and they have turned me off to the point where I refuse to deal with them in order to see the doctor. I will go elsewhere where the office staff has enough sense to treat their patients with respect and gratitude, not as if they are doing me a favor.

Too bad Dr. Lang had to retire. I was with her for 20 years and found her to be the best. Her staff wasn't the warmest but they were efficient. However, the staff now is rude and very uncaring. Although two of the main people are from Dr. Lang's staff, they are all acting badly. I guess they are just showing their true colors.

I was a patient of Dr. Lang. At the beginning, she was great. A few years later, it seemed like she got prescription-happy. Dr. Amy is great but I'm finally fed up with the support(?) staff - the nastiest bunch of arrogant illiterates I've ever encountered. It's unfortunate that the vulnerable position you're in when you enter their office is compounded by a creepy, self-centered, rude, bunch of bitches. Is it that hard to create a compassionate and friendly support staff?

Since Nikki left the practice has descended into chaos. I've seen Amy Kurzrok twice so far, and I liked her and felt well cared for both times. What I don't like is the way the front desk staff is lazy, disorganized, and rude. I don't even expect to be treated nicely, but the women who work in that office just treat the patients with contempt. I've also had problems getting medications refilled ever since Nikki left. Amy seems like a really nice person. I just hope she's not so nice that she can't run an effective practice.

Dr. Lang, who built this practice over the course of two decades, retired late in 2007, and her part-time associate of five years, Dr. Amy Kurzrok, has taken over the practice on a full time basis.
Dr. Lang's patients had only the highest things to say about her, and patients seem to think just as highly of Dr. Kurzrok. Dr. Kurzrok has a personality perfectly suited to being a doctor. She's personable, genuine, and cares deeply for her patients. She'll go out of her way for any of her patients.
While Dr. Lang could not have found a better physician to replace her, a number of problems have plagued the practice since her departure.
Dr. Kurzrok retained the entire support staff that had been with Dr. Lang for years. However since Dr. Lang's departure, the support staff has come to routinely neglect the daily business of running a doctor's office. Phones go unanswered. Routine requests for prescription refills take up to a week to be called in, if they ever get called in at all. Messages left for referrals and test results go unanswered. Calling to ask about a message that went unanswered is treated as an imposition on the office staff.
While under Dr. Lang the staff was never pleasant, they did get their jobs done. Dr. Lang's tough personality was enough to keep the staff's behavior within normal limits, but since Dr. Lang's departure, it's as if the staff thinks why bother working if we don't have to.
As much as I love Dr. Kurzrok, I just can't stay at a practice where I can't get prescription refills, test results, or even make appointments in a timely manner. I'm going to try to stick it out a few more months, but if the quality of service doesn't improve, I'm going to have to look elsewhere for a new primary care doctor.

They were never the best bunch, but Nikki Lang kept them from going too far. Under Kurzrok it's been down hill. Hopefully she can bring them in line before they turn-off too many patients.

i will be short simply because typing isn't my thing. however; in being brief i will only say this- what will i do? in the event that dr. lang retires, actually what will we who have had the true luxury of dr. lang's services do? i enjoy luxury goods and i can truly say that she(dr. lang) isn't just a dr. , she is an individuals luxury. everyone should be so lucky. i will also add this, i've read certain persons negative reviews typed about the great dr. nikki lang; only one thing to say those... IT'S NOT HER, IT'S THEM! that being said- LUXURY goods are not for everyone. simply because not everyone understands them.

I feel that had I met Dr. Nikki Lang several years earlier, I could have avoided a lot of the unnecessary sufferings I had gone through with other general doctors I had before I met her. It truly made a big difference for my health problems.
What was most helpful to me was that she always took time to explain about my problem as well as solutions. I was always confused whether I was having allergy problem or cold virus. She would always make sure that I would get the thorough examinations from other specialists. She was particularly good with follow ups making sure that I am well taken care of . It was especially wonderful that she could a took care of the gynecology issues as well.
She is well rounded and very knowledgeable in all aspect where I needed help.
I found her a most reliable doctor I ever had.
