The Antiquarian is nostalgia at its best, walking in it is colorful and exciting, take your time browsing because there are hidden treasures everywhere.
It is pricey but some pieces are worth it. Do not be hasty though because most vendors will bargain.
And as far as the vendors go, most are friendly and helpful but I did run into one extremely rude and snobby lady, which was a big turn off.
It is hard to miss if you know what you are looking for, it is a big old church.
It is open every day but on Saturdays and Sundays the basement is open as well for more shopping.
Pros: Atmosphere & Selection
Cons: Price

I always love coming to the Antiquarium....but I am loving it even more now that WILBUR (a sweet new vintage store) has opened in the basement. The prices are great, and the owner will help you pick just the right thing. The little stall feels cozy ...everywhere you look is a carefully placed treasure. Don't miss this place! Just what the Antiquarium (and my closet) needed.
Pros: everything so far....

On 11/4/06 I had the most terrible experience shopping for antiques at the Antiquarians Delight. Please beware of rip offs, a lot of the stuff is really flimsy there. And the manager has some issues. A 130 year old table that I had bought, was broken by THEM within seconds of the payment. When I asked for my money back, the manager yelled SUE ME and locked himself in the room! He not only refused to fully reimburse me, he also refused to give me the receipt! There were at least twenty to thirty people who witnessed the manager of this place screaming at us. The people who work there cannot say anything against him because he communicates by yells only. Please don't trust him and certainly don't buy anything from this place.
PROS: None
CONS: Abusive language, rip offs, psychotic manager

Avoid the man who answers the phone and owns the shopping area on the right when you walk in the door. This man is miserable, angry and he will convince you to leave and never return. Get passed him and you will have a lovely time in this unique shopping environment where you are sure to find many, one of a kind treasures and much nicer people. A recent telephone call to the store ended with this man screaming at me and telling me to go f myself. Apparently I called when they were too busy to answer my inquiry. He could have simply asked me to call back at a better time. Avoid him at all costs. PS Don't miss the basement!!!
Pros: Suburb merhandise at all but one shop.
Cons: One very mean, snarly old guy.

Antiquarian's Delight is definitely a “delight” for antique lovers. It is a large space filled by many vendors, all offering a wide variety of antiques. You never know what you will find week after week since the inventory is constantly changing. I have found some fantastic items at this store and have gotten some great deals. Anyone interested in antiques needs to check this out.
