I have taken my cats to VCA for several years. The vets are thorough and provide good care. They are very expensive, however, and like to recommend numerous and frequent testing (blood work, etc.). My biggest complaint though, is that they charge a big mark up on most medications and actively discourage you from getting them elsewhere, i.e. the Web. They will only do what they are required to by law - write prescriptions for pick up - and will not verify prescriptions via phone or call them in. When you can buy many drugs for a third the price elsewhere, this becomes a major inconvenience.

VCA Cat Hospital is a franchise with a location in Rittenhouse Square. As the name indicates, it specializes in veternary care for cats. I've taken my cat to them with serious to routine medical problems - from a small bowel obstruction requiring a barium enema to an infection requiring some antibiotics. Like most veternarians, their services are pricey and they often require you to pay for a checkup and office visit in addition to the procedure you want (for example, you can't JUST get your cat declawed without getting it a checkup as well). However, I found the veternary care to be quite good and the veternarian called me frequently with updates and to ask what I wanted done from a list of options when my cat was sick until he was restored to perfect health. Its location is convenient as well.
