I love the zoo. I really like the Philadelphia Zoo too. It's the oldest in the country, and while most of it has been redone several times, you can tell that it's not a new zoo because some of the habitats are much smaller that what you would find at the San Diego zoo or another huge zoo. The animals seem well cared for and that's what's important. Parking is expensive and often a good hike away. You can get there by public transit, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not familiar with the different routes. And, if you have some extra cash, definitely go up in the Zoo Balloon, It's a blast and offers great views of the city.

Walnut Street Theatre is located in Center City Philadelphia. It is very convenient to much of the fine dining in the city. The shows are very professional and well done. It is always a pleasure to go see a show at Walnut Street. It is very nice inside and comfortable.
A subscription is very reasonable and each year brings solid shows. Parking at Will Eye's across the street is convenient and affordable- only $6.

This is the one with the awesome pool! I loved visiting this place. its offering some good sign up deals for newcomers. With no other fees attached, you can join for $20.08 and get the first month free - thats pretty cool. The assistance from the employees is pretty consistently up to par with every Sports Club I've been to, but this one actually surprised me with how helpful the staff was. Its a positive place to be, working out and shedding last year's pounds!

Time Out Family Amusement Center is a terrific place for kids. They offer nice rides at affordable prices. It is a very clean place for family entertainment. My cousins always have a good time here. You can even eat dinner here because they have lots of choices. It does get crowded fast some come early to avoid some of the chaos. And parking is difficult.

This is the place I go to when I want to escape the world. It is a beautiful garden located in Fairmount Park. The main building is a perfect example of 17th century Japanese architecture. The whole are is landscaped perfectly in a Japanese manner. The whole place has a tranquil feel to it. It is a nice break from the hustle of the city.

My husband is a member of the bowling league. This is a nice family place to bowl, But one big draw back, is the smoking. The place fills up quickly with lots of smoke and my husband comes home smelling like an ashtray on league nights. But, this is a very fun, low cost way to have a family night out. Very Friendly and lots of other activites for the kids.

What a fun place!! We took one of their special mystery tours once and we had a GREAT time. I have also taken the self-guided tour, and yes, the basement is much spookier just thinking that Poe lived and wrote there adds a certain something to the ambiance that other period houses just cannot match! Visit the shop there, it is a reader's delight...a Poe reader's anyway!

Rittenhouse Square is an ideal community for families. The parks are beautiful and safe. It does not feel like the regular smog or pollution associated with a city. There are many ways to entertain your self around the surrounding area as well. There are nice restaurants, shopping , and other forms of enjoyment. However it is a very expensive area to live in housing is by no means cheap. If you really love the city and want to raise a family there then i would spend the money.

This is a great way to tour the city of brotherly love, especially if this is a second or third visit to Philadelphia. This tour occurs at night and has very knowledgeable and friendly guides. The places you see are much spookier at night with some of the stories and legends the guides share. Cemetaries and ghost stories abound on this sppoky stroll through Philadelphia! Try it out for something different to do!!
