When I first got into town my brother immediately started raving about this place in town called Wolfe Burgers. He said they had the best burgers in town and they should not be missed. Now I have to admit I am not a HUGE burger fan. Don't get me wrong I can appreciate a good burger just like everyone else but it's not the sole reason why I visit a burger joint. For me a burger joint is not truly a burger joint unless they have top notch fries to accompany a premium burger. And in this case I was not disappointed.
Wolfe Burger serves up a premium burger. But what makes this burger is not the condiments (which there a wide variety of), it's not the bread & nor is it the seasoning. What makes this burger a premium burger is the meat. It's fresh and lean. You can really taste the quality of the meat in the very first bite. Now when you combine that with hand cut fries; they don't peel the fries here and thank god they don't. That's where all of the flavor is. Plus they must change the oil frequently. It's never dirty. The fries always taste fresh. And if you don't like the fries you can upgrade to the onion rings, zuchinni sticks or the fried mushrooms. They are very genorous in their portions. When you try the sides don't dip them in ketchup. Try the ranch dressing you will be glad you did.
And if you get there early enough for breakfast try the rib eye steak, 3 eggs, potatoes and toast for only $8.95. You will be glad you did. It's a real deal for that price.
As you can tell I am a fan of the place. Hey what can I say, I love great food at a great price. Besides the service is great and at least one of the many tv's is always on the ESPN or The Sports Channel. It's a great place to read the paper on the weekend and catch up on all my favortie sports

I loved my experice at this restaurant the first time I went to A float. My family and I were greeted instantly by the waitress and seated. We went early (5:00) so it wasn't too crowded. My 2 kids loved the idea of this restaurant of picking your favorite dishes off the floating ships. I tried almost about everything with my husband. We both agreed this was the best sushi we have tasted in a long time, ever since we left New Jersey. There's just so much variety and the prices are reasonably priced, unlike another sushi restaurant I went to a couple weeks ago, which charged $5 for a small bowl of miso soup!! The waitresses/waiters were all really kind and patient that we had stayed for 2 hours. Most other busy places would just give us the check. As time passed, and it was 7:00, the place got crowded. I could see why this restaurant had such good buisness. It was because it was really worth the wait.
Pros: FOOD, atmosphere, service
Cons: None

My mom and I were roaming around Colorado Blvd and randomly stopped in because of how delicious a womans Sangria that she was drinking on the patio looked. We got seated and each ordered a sangria, mine red and hers white, which came out quickly and was wonderful! Full of flavor and it was during lunch time so it was only $8. Everybody gets free olive tempenade with bread, which was great, and we shared a garlic mushroom tapa that I really loved. For a lunch entree my mom got the pork sandwich which had great flavor. Not only the pork but the bread too. I got the seared ahi tuna salad which was filling and full of taste! Our drinks came out fast but the food definitly took some time, but it was alright because it felt so peaceful outside on the patio under the overhang in the hot heat drinking our sangria!
Pros: good lunch time prices
Cons: wait time for food and check

There really isn't anything better than booze, sports and some fresh popcorn, but I'm a popcorn fiend so I guess that explains a little.
This place has been a local watering hole for years, and you can definitely tell! Except, in most cases, being able to tell it's been around a while isn't usually a good thing.

Pros: All of the above
Cons: none of the above.

I have been going to Hamlet on and off for years. They have improved significantly over the past year . I spoke with the GM on my last visit, and he had told me the company was under new ownershipand senior managment as well. It's apparent when you walk in there. Take a look at their new menu. Last time I had the California Market Salad and the Pan roasted chicken. Nothing like either of them. The food is sooo much better, with all their new menu items. They definitley have something for everyone. I highly reccomend it. Great place for family and kids, as I take mine there around twice per month.
Pros: New Menu, Better Service, Private Parties
Cons: Tables look a little old

There isn't a single place in the area within a 10+ mile radius that I like more. I like this place more than Arroyo Chophouse. I haven't been to Raymond or the Ritz-Carlton yet, but I haven't been anywhere else that maybe be better for the price in the area. I've been to Parkway Grill 4 times over the last 8 years, and have always had a pleasant experience. I went there last night to take my girlfriend out for her 25th birthday, and my experience was so pleasant that I felt compelled to write a review.
Great service. I always loved the ambience - dimly lit, high ceiling, oak bar, live piano. The time it was very loud though - the only complaint I have. It's more bustling now. Arrived 20 minutes early and was seated within 5 minutes, in a secluded corner table, as requested on OpenTable. Excellent waiter, Ron, knew everything on the menu. I just got a cheap bottle of Cabernet so can't say much there.
FOOD - Crab cakes to start - blah, little salty, tasty, but nothing special. Veal Cheeks - holy moly! This is a home run dish. Recently added to the menu. The waiter strongly suggested I try it. You won't see it on their website. Think braised short ribs x 10. Succulent, tender, flavorful. Came with chanterelle mushrooms, beat puree, blanched peppercorns (that looked like salmon roe, but were peppercorns - awesome!), a white puree I couldn't identify, and a brown onion something or other. Anyhow, everything came together BEAUTIFULLY. This alone was worth the price of admission. A+ for the veal cheeks.
Main entree - Salmon - blah. Beef Braised Short Rib - now this wasn't the most tender short rib I've ever had, but it was definitely the largest, still incredibly tender, and absolutely delicious. Still fall off the bone. The array of vegetables and potatoes complemented the meat nicely. B+/A- for that dish.
Dessert - Creme Brulee Napoleon - Exquisite. Filo dough so flavorful. A-. Free scoops ice cream in a cone boat for B-day.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambience
Cons: Loud on a Thursday night, so not always recommended for a romantic date

I love this place. I live in Downtown L.A., but I have no problem making the drive down to Pasadena for this delightful treat. The frozen yogurt is always the highest quality - very light and creamy and smooth, with no weird aftertaste or that sour yogurt flavor. It's impossible to believe this stuff is a low-cal treat. The flavors change daily and are posted on their website. The best I've had there is Cookies & Cream, but it's impossible to go wrong, even with their standard Vanilla. The best part about this place is the endless array of mix-ins. The combination possibilities will stretch your creative culinary muscle. Try pairing banana and macadamia nuts in Valharona Chocolate, or add animal crackers to Vanilla Bean. They have every mix-in fathomable, from fresh fruits to cereal to Twinkies. The only drawbacks are its location, parking (downtown Pasadena can get crazy at night), and the fact that there is ALWAYS a line. But the line moves fast, and the wait (and the drive) is totally worth it.
Pros: Great frozen yogurt, large selection of mix-ins
Cons: Location, parking, line

More 1 year ago
My wife and I dined here last night for the first time and enjoyed Trattoria Tre Venezie very much. This is not a family restaurant, a chain restaurant or a "I am on a budget place". This is a place that sits by itself. You go here if you are a foodie and enjoy gourmet Italian. Example: Ravioli with chocolate and butter, pork, Ravioli with beets, a few beef and vegetables dishes, a lot of unique uber-gourmet twists on Italian contemporary dishes. No pizza, no meatballs. The waiter read to us about 10 specials that night (almost as many specials than there was regular food items): it took about 10 minutes to describe everything once. We travel and we were thoroughly entertained by the entire visit - it took us back to memories of being out of the country. The wine list is fantastic and beware: there are a lot of choices. The waiter will help you out but this is not a place to "guess" at. Know what you are ordering. I read the other reviews on this site before going and was concerned. Some of the reviews mention Buca, "good deals", snobby waiter staff and food / alcohol complaints. Listen, buck up and try it for yourself. We are looking forward to our next visit. If you want pasta go to cheesecake factory or somewhere else.
Pros: Food and drink
Cons: Parking is a little challenging

The Raymond is one of my favorite "special" places to go with my new husband. It has been a while since we've been but last time it was just wonderful. The food is delicious and the home-type intimate atmosphere is comfortable. Not stuffy like other places. They used to offer a souffle dessert that you had to order at the beginning of your meal, I don't know if they still have them. Last time I went I wanted one and they were sold out. If you can get one, order it!
Pros: The atmosphere is nice, food is good
Cons: Pricey
