We've been here several times over a few years and the food is always wonderful - pasta dishes are creative and flavorful without too much sauce - perfect portions. Osso buco is wonderful to find and prepared really well. The steak was amazing. The service is great, very Italian style which some consider slow but is actually authentic because they need the time to prepare the food and don't pressure you to leave as soon as you're done - very friendly too. One day our server was from Toscana and the next his colleague from Sicily. They make good recommendations and care about the ingredients. The cuisine is something you'd find in Italy, (where I lived for several years), authentic in ingredients with a North African flavor. It's my favorite Italian, if not overall, restaurant in Pasadena.
Pros: ingredients, authenticity, creativity
Cons: parking- some might not like to wait for well prepared food

We really enjoyed ourselves here. A party of 4 very picky eaters and everyone loved their dishes (I had the scallops and thought they were great - and the risotto with them was wonderful...oh, and the chocolate soup was scrumptious), and had a lovely time sitting outside on the patio....though I do think they could do a lot more with the patio decor-wise. The service was amazing - everyone very attentative and friendly. We brought a bottle of wine with us and also bought one from the wine list, and loved that the corkage fee for the one we brought was then waived. All in all a great experience, for not a bad price

My friends and I dined here on New Years Eve last year. We were seated promptly, had a great waiter (it was extremely busy) and were served hot meals! I enjoyed the fish! It was very flavorful and not to "fishy". My friends had the filet. It was moist, cooked to their liking, and worth the money. They served lobster bisque that was one of the best! They have a $2 corkage so bring your favorite bottle to open.
We' already made our reservations for this New Years.
Pros: Corkage, Prompt Seating, Service
Cons: Parking in Old Town

I enjoy this restaurant so much! It's got a great patio eating area and the food is just great. I always enjoy my visit here. The staff is very friendly and the service has yet to disappoint me. They also play great jazz in the evening. A nice glass of wine and wonderful tunes.... :)
Pros: Great Environment, Great Service

Everything at Euro Pane is top quality. Some of the best restaurants in the area get all of their bread from Euro Pane. The owner takes very careful efforts to make sure everything they serve there is good. As an example, when they put "lettuce" on their sandwiches, it isn't a big leaf of iceberg, it's mixed greens.
Their coffee is excellent. I drink straight espresso, no sugar, so I notice bad coffee immediately.
I find it highly amusing that someone criticized the croissants. They are perfect - crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. Croissants anywhere else are very disappointing to me after eating them here.
You might not think that a tuna salad sandwich is special, but they happen to make their tuna how I like it.
I highly recommend the meatloaf sandwich, moist and tasty.
If you like "slow" food come here.

Perfect summer place, I went in there last weekend I think on a Saturday. I thought it wasn't going to get busy but as soon as the house music came on it went crazy. It was lots of fun the bartenders were so cool, they weren't snooty at all the chick was hot and super cool the guy made good drinks! they were on top of their game for sure. The food wasn't that great, but when you are drinking it helps. The place is really different with an open roof and just an entirely good vibe! I will be back. I highly recommend it. Just go to the bar, they will take good care of you.
Pros: bartenders
Cons: food

Read about Mojitos in the guide at the hotel, read a couple of reviews on this site (negative) but thought, it is in walking distance of the Marriott so we gave it a try. We were so glad that we did. The cuisine is wonderful, and the wait staff were attentive, pleasant and polite. We had the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad with pears, candied walnuts and greens, Caprese salad (fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced avocados) absolutely wonderful and the dressings are all made at the restaurant and are delicious. Entrees: Grilled Halibut served with a cuban sauce and garlic spinach, Crispy Chilean Sea Bass with mashed plantains and corn salsa. Topped it off with an espresso, couldn't have been better. Highly recommended. The food is mouthwatering. Everything wonderfully fresh. When we started ordering the waitress asked us if we wanted to order their special chocolate dessert that takes 45 minutes to cook, it sounded wonderful, but we opted out. Maybe next time we will go for it. If we are in this area again, we will definitely make it destination and would highly recommend it to anyone staying over, a great place to have a delicious dinner.
Pros: Great Food, Great Wait Staff
Cons: None that I could see

When I first got into town my brother immediately started raving about this place in town called Wolfe Burgers. He said they had the best burgers in town and they should not be missed. Now I have to admit I am not a HUGE burger fan. Don't get me wrong I can appreciate a good burger just like everyone else but it's not the sole reason why I visit a burger joint. For me a burger joint is not truly a burger joint unless they have top notch fries to accompany a premium burger. And in this case I was not disappointed.
Wolfe Burger serves up a premium burger. But what makes this burger is not the condiments (which there a wide variety of), it's not the bread & nor is it the seasoning. What makes this burger a premium burger is the meat. It's fresh and lean. You can really taste the quality of the meat in the very first bite. Now when you combine that with hand cut fries; they don't peel the fries here and thank god they don't. That's where all of the flavor is. Plus they must change the oil frequently. It's never dirty. The fries always taste fresh. And if you don't like the fries you can upgrade to the onion rings, zuchinni sticks or the fried mushrooms. They are very genorous in their portions. When you try the sides don't dip them in ketchup. Try the ranch dressing you will be glad you did.
And if you get there early enough for breakfast try the rib eye steak, 3 eggs, potatoes and toast for only $8.95. You will be glad you did. It's a real deal for that price.
As you can tell I am a fan of the place. Hey what can I say, I love great food at a great price. Besides the service is great and at least one of the many tv's is always on the ESPN or The Sports Channel. It's a great place to read the paper on the weekend and catch up on all my favortie sports
