Ordered the Sicilian Pizza (pepperoni, canadian bacon, jalape?os, onion), it was delicious.
Decor inside was nice but cramped towards the section leading to the bathroom. The food took an exceptional amount of time to arrive (more than 30 minutes). To make matters worse, the server, while not rude, was extremely slow. Lastly, the temperature inside made it feel as if I was a pizza cooking in the oven.
Despite the lack of cool air and tardy service I would still recommend the pizza...if you have an abundance of time.
just an fyi: restaurant does not serve ranch or ketchup
Pros: the food
Cons: kind but SLOW service, temperature inside

I am not one complain too much but when management is rude and unhelpful it is hard not to. Please save yourself and DO NOT EAT here ever. There are much better options in the area

When I moved to LA from Chicago I went through pizza withdrawals. I tried soooo many places, but everything was average, at best. I really don't understand why everyone likes Abbott's. It tastes like mall pizza to me. Anyway...
My favorite pizza in the world is Giordano's thin crust with pepperoni and sausage. I ate the deep dish occasionally, but I preferred the thin crust. With that said, The Kitchen has amazing deep dish pizza. I couldn't get enough once I tried it. The pepperoni has a lot of flavor and the sausage is amazing. Of course, the cheese is piled high too. Not only is the pizza good, but the restaurant itself has great atmosphere and it's good for people watching. It's one of my favorites in the LA area, along with Paoli's (deep dish) in Woodland Hills and D'Amores (thin crust) in Canoga Park.
Pros: Ambience, Good pizza
Cons: Parking

I paid a visit to this place on my lunch break and ordered a slice of mushroom and a slice of pepperoni pizza -- very good.
The slices are only $2 each (cheese only). A quarter for each additional topping.
The service is friendly and honest (I asked the owner if he preferred New York style or Sicilian, he said New York).
I'll probably be coming back here again to try one of the calzones.
Pros: Tasty Pizza, Value, Service

The Kitchen is perfect. The restaurant is small and cozy, with beautiful decor and great service. The menu ranges from salads to delicious pastas and pizzas. I personally enjoy the chicken marsalla, although friends tend to stick with the thin-crust pizzas. Garlic bread as an appetizer is always a good choice, as is a choice from the dessert menu.

I travel all over the country and the service at The Kitchen is as good if not better than the kind of service you get in the midwest...and the food is even better than the service! We got the Brushetta as an appetizer, it was excellent! I got the penne pomodoro and my associated got the roasted chicken, both were perfect! The potatoes on the side of the chicken were to die for and unfortunately we were too full for dessert. I hope to return to Pasadena soon so I can enjoy the atmosphere and especially the food at The Kitchen!
Pros: Good Food, Service, Inexpensive
