I have been going to Lovebirds for over 10 years, and I have yet to be disappointed. Their bread is the best around, as is their produce. They have two locations, one in Pasadena on Colorado Blvd and another location in Alhambra on First Ave. The best sandwich in my opinion is the red and green combo on sourdough bread. All their sandwiches are huge and filling, even a half sandwich will fill you up. They also have a great assortment of pastries, and their cookies are to die for. I always pick one or two cookies when I'm in town. Their prices have increased over the years, but the quality is always great.

if you like sticking with the traditional, Lovebirds Cafe, with its hearty soups, breads, and sandwiches, is perfect for you. In the summer, the food is best enjoyed with one of their signature smoothies, while a nice cup of coffee works well no matter what the weather is like. Also, you can't go wrong with one of their delicious, freshly-baked pastries. The ambience is very classy, casual and comfortable.

Originally from Alhambra, the Pasadena location is both popular and busy. Their sandwiches are made to order and both the hot and cold ones are great. They also bake their own breads and have fresh baked goods everyday. The portions for their baked goods are big though so be prepared to bring someone to share with you.
