If you are interested in art, gardens, statues, architecture, and other European things, then you might enjoy this place. They have a lot of galleries and European artifacts for you to enjoy. I also believe that they have a tearoom and serve afternoon tea, although I hear it is somewhat expensive. Admission used to be free, with a suggested donation, but now I believe they charge an admission fee.

The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens are simply beautiful. The library hosts many important artifacts from history. Included is an original Guttenburg bible. But above all, the Huntington Library offers an incredible Botanical Gardens. Gardens and vegetation from around the world cover the large area. An Austrailian section details the dry desert gardens. The Japanese Garden is simply unbelievable. A peaceful pebble garden rests next to a wonderful collection of bonsai trees. The Huntington Library is a great day trip for a wonderful walk.

The Huntington library and gardens is one of the most beautiful museums I have ever been to. It is the home of Henry Huntington, who I believe made a lot of money in the railroads. This place is home to Pinky and Blue Boy, as well as many other paintings. The gardens are gorgeous. My personal favorite is the Japanese garden with a gong and all (legend has is high school kids a many have been able to scale the walls to ring the gong in the middle of the night...and I believe they have come out alive). It is a relaxing place to visit, and if you're into really relaxing check out where Huntington and his wife are entombed for eternity.

The Huntington Gardens are a fabulous place, though the $15 admission (for non-members) can get pricey, especially for a family. The first thursday of the month is free. it is super crowded during the summer, but it is a great way to see the gardens. The chidren's garden is especially nice -- with lots of water for chidren to play in and things for them to smell, touvh and experiance. However, you might have to wait, for a very long time, on weekends and in the summer.

This is a place that if you live in the area, you should visit at least once. You may find something you enjoy that you thought you might not have been interested in. This place is very kid friendly as well.

The Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena has one of the best children's gardens around. Kids can run through a 30 foot tunnel, make music by dropping pebbles, experience mist and rain, see a rainbow, splash in the stream and play with water fountains. Beautifully set-up, the Huntington has done a spectacular job in making a very child-friendly garden. Be warned, however, you kids will get wet! So, bring an extra set of clothes and plan a picnic for a full experience.
One a month on the first Thursday, admission is free to the public. Otherwise, there's an entrance fee for non-members.

The place is huugeeee! It’ll take you a long time to visit all the sections. You should probably plan the whole day there. I also think you should see the places you like first in case you don’t get to everything. The botanical garden is beautiful and big with lots of unique types of flowers and trees, rose garden, Japanese garden, etc. Great place to relax and take a stroll. They’re also a library of old books and artifacts and an art gallery. The Wedding Planner starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey and Memoirs of a Geisha had few scenes filmed there.

Great art, beautiful gardens, traditional tea room, great for whole family. It's the place I 'run off to' most often -- either by myself, with family, or with friends. This landscape of endless lawns with areas dedicated to a variation of flowers is absolutely three spot. On the "Free" day (first Thursday of the month), you may make your trip even better.

Even during sweltering Pasadena summer days, visitors linger outdoors to soak up the Garden of Eden-like serenity. A constant stream of families and courting couples meander through the ambrosial rose gardens. Originally a private home, the Huntington still exudes the Old-World elegance of a stately mansion. Admission: Adults $15; seniors $12; students $10; youth (5-11) $6. Admission is free on the first Thursday of every month.
