I used to go to the Zono in Glendale until the Chef quality became, lets say non-authentic. I followed their Japanese Chef to this new Zono and wow does it make a difference. High quality, outstanding bar service. I don't know about the restaurant per-se, but the service it the bar is awesome.
Pros: Sushi Bar and Chefs
Cons: Its a lil Drab, bar could be bigger.

If you are into healthy living then zankou's is the place to go. they have really good rotisserie chicken and it comes with flat bread and hummus. you can also order it to go. we usually get it when we have group outings or group meetings because you can order a whole chicken and sides. healthy alternative to fried chicken.

You will not be able to get a better value for your money. Although the menu is pretty limited, almost everything is tasty. Especially if you like garlic. Their hummus (which comes with all of their plate specials) is also one of my favorites. Falafel is available for all of you veggie types.

I went there for the first time today for lunch. Like the other reviews- the decor is nothing astounding- but it is very pleasant and comfortable. THe service is friendly and efficient- and th FOOD!! Wow! I highly recommend the crispy fish. It comes in fried pieces on a bed of chinese greens. All their food is phenomenal and really pretty to look at. It's a little pricey- but really- the lunch menu wasn't any more than the average restaurant in Pasadena. (Barring the fast food places....) Go!
Pros: The food is first rate-good wine list too

I eat yoshinoya combo bowls like 3 days out of the week. There only $4.32 cents for vegetables,chicken, and beef thatll have your mouth watering! The best part about yoshinoya is it never makes you feel resentment towards going out and eating fast food. You feel GOOOOOOOD! I can sure go for a bowl right now. Well gotta go! Im going to yoshinoya!

Its my most favorite beer place, I had been there twice and love their beer selection, they give a good competition to Barney's, our waiter Jennifer Val was considerate,service was quick not only we were suggested some some great beers,but we got the fries returned and replaced with onion rings as they werer not great, for tryng beers they have a six pack sample of almost 100 ml each which is lil costly $10 but i fun way to go beer tasting, they have some great appetizers, which are better for ahhpy hours which i remember is sun-wed 10-12, that also makes it a good place to try at night.
Great place for group dining, but on weekends its crowded and waiting is min. 1 hr but by then enjoy some cool beers standing or hang out in Paseo Colorado, finding a parking may be tough esp street parking

Cons: atleast 1hr waiting on weekends

The happy hour menu was pretty good as were the drinks. Nice selection of beers. The only thing is the crowd can get a bit sketchy. It is not the professional crowd like most happy hours.

I've been to Yang Chow in both Pasadena and Chinatown, and this is one of my favorite restaurants. Highly recommended is the signature dish, "slippery shrimp." It's lightly breaded and served in a sweet-savory orange sauce; its also 100% shrimp - no veggies mixed in. I'm also a huge fan of the egg drop soup, hot spicy tofu with pork and green beans with pork. This is a reliable place to go for an always-delicious, filling, and reasonably-price meal.
Pros: generous portions, free parking
Cons: slippery shrimp doesn't reheat well
