there are two of these, one on university downtown and this one on el camino. the inside is soo cute. it was my first time at a sushi boat. the prices are more than reasonable. i ordered some sushi and some appetizers with my friends. I had a California roll, some edamame and a Shrimp Tempura roll. All were freshly prepared and tasty. The tempura was excellent. It was very crunchy and there wasn't so much batter that the shrimp was lost. They keep the water glasses and soy sauce jars full. The servers are always very friendly. my friends all ordered the bento boxes. protions are generous and i thought it was delicious. the service isnt excellent but i thought the good prices and generous portions of good food made up for it. i dont get why there were such bad reviews already up, i really liked the place. i think it caters to a more younger crowd, lots of stanford and local hschoolers seem to come.
Pros: good food, prices
Cons: service not always up to par

The sushi here is absolutely phenomenal. The fish they serve here is the freshest I've had in the Palo Alto area so far and the prices are definitely reasonable. I sat at the bar and so I got to order my food straight to the chef and watch him prepare the items. Lively atmosphere and extremely friendly. The nigirizushi was made skillfully and very delicious. Prices are just slightly above average for sushi in the area but well worth the price. Restaurant itself is very small so large groups aren't recommended, but if youre looking for a great place to have an excellent dinner with a couple friends, this is a wonderful place for it.
Pros: Just about everything
Cons: small restaurant, so seating is limited.

Homma's is tucked into an alley with a really small hanging sign on the street as the only obvious indicator to passers-by of its location. If you can find it, you'll won't mind at all. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The brown rice is a wonderful change from the typical sushi fare.
The atmosphere is simple to say the least, but what they're saving on decor is definitely passed along by keeping the prices low.
I highly recommend it.
Pros: Unique Brown Rice, Fresh Fish, Great Prices
Cons: Hard to Find

Are you looking for one of those local places with excellent, fresh fish, with all homemade and handpicked ingredients and great value? Then this is the place. It dose get crowded on Friday nights, as a lot people like to just relax with friends and family after a long week. I have been to Japan many times, and this place compares to a local, hole in the wall, excellent, Japanese joint. The good eats are the Bret Hand Roll, Sake Scallop Hand Roll, Tomo Tempura Roll, Leslie Special Roll (with lemon on top), and the Japango! And the albacore tends to have more flavor then most other people's toro. And Tomo has Toro too! ;) Come by and say hi, just have a seat, grab a beer or sake and start up a conversation with someone you never met before at this great little sushi joint!

I have been going to the Sushi House for years. The staff is very nice for both dine in and take out orders. They make really good sushi but I really enjoy the teriyaki chicken meal.It comes with rice, salad, miso soup, and California roll. It's delicious. It gets crowded at lunch because the high school kids come over. Other times I hardly wait for a seat.
