In the mid 1990s I visited Ed Weiss for back pain resulting from an auto accident. I had been slow to recover so a friend recommended trying acupuncture. The results achieved from visiting Ed were amazing. By the end of my treatment, I had achieved a full recovery from the lingering symptoms.
I highly recommend Dr. Weiss for anyone willing to go beyond the limitations imposed by the traditional orthopedic medicine mindset.

I have been seeing Dr. Jerry Wu since May 19, 2005, following two car accidents which left me debilitated and in constant pain. Initially, the only time I was pain-free was while I was receiving acupuncture and herbal treatment at Dr. Wu's office. Gradually, I have improved and have extended periods of pain-free time and am looking forward to a full recovery.
I have come full circle in my opinion of acupuncture. I used to think that there was no need to go have someone stick needles in me. Now, I realize what a thoroughly beneficial treatment acupuncture is and I suggest anyone with chronic pain give it a try.
I highly recommend Dr. Wu!

I have also written a review for Jags under his other listing as Jagdip Powar, MD. Jags delivered my three childrena and I have nothing but praise for him. I have a medical background and many of my medical colleagues also use him as their doctor. We all have nothing but high praise for his calm, professional, friendly and attentive approach to medicine. In other words, WE LOVE HIM!!!

Not only do they have a wide selection, quick service and friendly staff, For Eyes also has lower prices than any other place I've been to in the Bay Area. Stanford affiliates receive discounts, too.
PROS: quality, friendliness, reasonable prices
CONS: takes a few days to get your glasses back

Although Stanford is a good 45 minutes away for me, it became an absolute necessity for me to check out this treatment center because I had a disturbing history with scalp psoriasis that had suddenly flared up and spread. I debated seeing a dermatologist in my city, but my old one had moved away a few years ago. Stanford ending up being just what I needed, they provided a bunch of useful info over the phone through a triage nurse who gave me the names of topical over the counter medications that I could use to get me by before going to my appointment. Unfortunately, since Stanford IS so prestigious, they were booked for months and I had to wait for what seemed like forever to actually see a doctor in person. When I did, my psoriasis was cured in a few treatments.

My brother had a swollen gland and none of the peninsula hospitals knew what it was. We were recommended to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital and not only did he receive the best care possible, they also found out what was wrong with him. The atmosphere is so family friendly and takes the scare out of visiting the hospital. They have toys, books, and other comfortable things for your childen in every room, office, and corridor. This hospital is huge and God bless the people who work here. It's a really great place.
