I guess the reason why annyone would go her is because its kind of old fashioned, But I think thats just the cover on the book, they still have the latest nick nacks. I wouldnt say that they have EVERYTHING that modern department stores like Home Depot have, but they have basically anything you might need. There is nothing really special about it, dont go here for adventure. But the real upside is that the staff really knows their stuff. They are always opne to listening and giving suggestions.

good local hardware store. somewhat off the beaten path on alma st, but only maybe four or five blocks off university ave. it's a large hardware store and can address all your basic needs and more. the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. although it is somewhat more expensive than chain hardware stores, it's much more rewarding to support a local business for a few extra dollars.

I love all the big corporate companies but i do miss the old fashioned mom and pop shops and this is one of them!! Very old fashioned feel to everything here but they have everything you need for basic hardware work around the house. Great staff who are very knowledgeable and offer great help. Good if you're in the area but not worth the drive if not.

There is some time in the recent past that every neighborhood had its own hardware store, and this is that location for Palo Alto. It still has the old-time feel, and a great stock of all things you'd need for any project -- nuts and bolts, and tools. Get duplicate keys made! Find all the latest doodads for your upcoming home improvement project. Chew the fat with other builders and do-it-yourselfers. Hardware is where it's at! If you aren't comfortable around sharp blades and things that can poke you eye out, you might want to pick up a pair of safety goggles first, but browse just the same.
