Dr Powar has delivered my three children, one in the most difficult of circumstances. He has always been approachable, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. He is held in very high regard by his colleagues and is commonly mentioned as the doctor that medical professionals go to for their own ObGyn care. I would recommend him very strongly to anybody who needs a conscientious and committed doctor who really cares about his patients.

Dr.Powar is compentent and I had a decent C section and issueless post partum experience, thanks to him! I have heard from other friends that is very good with complicated cases. He doesn't talk much - if you want someone communicative and hand-holding types, don't consider him. If you don't mind the lack of much Q&A and are happy to be in good hands and trust your doc, go to him! Initially I felt a bit frustrated too and wished he wouldn't be so brief in his responses and sometimes dismiss my questions, especially since it was my first pregnancy. But hey, he was on top of all important issues and did an excellent job with my C section. I didn't have any issues some of my other friends had during /post their C. I definitely recommend him.

Dr. Powar has no interpersonal skills and did not take any of my complaints seriously. When I called to inform him that I was bleeding profusely 4 days post-partum, he told me it was "normal" and it would stop on its own. Well, it didn't stop and I ended up passing out and being taken to the ER in an ambulance for a blood transfusion and emergency D&C! I almost died thanks to this man's "expert advice"!
