Miyake is our favorite spot for great tasting sushi at reasonable prices. It is near Stanford and in the heart of Palo Alto which provides great atmosphere reminiscent of a wild fraternity house at times. Sake bombs are a must, and must be consumed while standing on your chair to the delight of the other patrons. My personal favorites are their soft shelled crab, hamachi, kani, and saba. Don't forget generous helpings of wasabe in your soy sauce. Enjoy!

I've been living here for years, looking for a great Chinese restaurant and I've finally found the place.
Not only do they have great food, but I have never experienced such great service at a Chinese restaurant before. The matre d at the desk was extremely friendly and accomodating.
My friend and I ordered the Mu-shu chicken, which we both really enjoyed - I would highly recommend this dish.
We also ordered a beef dish that was too spicy for the both of us (we prefer milder food). When we explained to the waiter that we'd like to order another dish because it was too spicy, he actually just took it off the menu and exchanged it for something milder. We never expected them to do that. While we would not take advantage of that, it was great customer service!! He recommended that we express our spice preference when we order, something we will remember to do next time.
Instead we ordered the orange-peel chicken, another delight that I would strongly recommend.
For the great food and AMAZING service, I would give this restaurant 5 stars and recommend it to everyone!

Let me first say, I'm a huge fan of small hole in the wall home style and generally chains are mass produced garbage, but this is the exception. I've had a few mediocre dishes, but most of them have been very good to excellent. As long as you go in knowing that it's food designed for the american palet and nothing authentic, you're in for a treat. Good for a family, but not a large group or party. They just don't know what to do with you. The cheesecake factory can get extremely packed on a weekend, but this location(Palo Alto University) is the quietest of the bunch. They have a bit of trouble with the layout of the place which creates a service issue for poor waiters, but most of the time it's at the least the minimum.

I took my husband the two children to Taxi's for dinner and had an excellent experience, would definitely return. The food was good, service was fast (a plus with children), the beer was cold (a plus for adults) and the restaurant was clean. One of the best burgers around!

I love everything about Olive Garden.The soup, the warm breadsticks, salads .... The pastas are beyond our words to praise.Rich in color and tasty.My favourite there is Eggplant parmegiana! We always see someone celebrating birthday there.My husband gave me surprise birthday cake there too! My husband loves their huse wine principato! Service is at the best in this Olive garden.

This is another mom and pops restaurant. The location itself is sort of a hole in the wall, located next to another bigger prosperous Chinese restaurant that overshadows it. However if you make the trek in you will be happy.
I've only eaten dinner here, so I can only suggest some plates:
1) Their Fried Garlic String Beans are wonderful. Crunchy and flavorful.
2) The Honey Walnut Shrimp is okay. Nothing to write home about but tasty.
3) The Fish Fillet in White Whine Sauce is amazing! I've never come about this plate at any restaurant before. The fish itself melts in your mouth and the sauce gives it a slight sweet flavor.
4) The Beef on Hot Plate was great. Very flavorful and comes sizzling to your table.
Definitely recommended!
