I went with a friend of mine for a casual dinner. The best samosas I have ever had. I focus on the little things like chutneys and raitas and Chef Sachin Chopra delivered what I have been looking for over 9 years in US now - both were the best by far.
Sure the items on the menu were a bit expensive (Entre: 18-50 I guess), but food quantities were quite generous. We knew we ordered a bit extra, but the left overs laster me for 2 full meals. Our total bill was $87 (plus tip) - not bad huh!!
I haven't tried their non-veg menu yet, but can't wait to go again.... at the very least once....
If you like authentic Indian food, made and served gourmet style and don't mind paying that little extra price, then you have to give this a try. Hope you like it just as much too.

This is the best New Orleans style food I've had outside the South. It's fresh and authentic and has a real blend of flavors: they don't cook stuff until it's all mushed into one flavor; rather, you can taste multiple different subtle (and, depending on the dish, not-so-subtle) flavors in each bite.
It's usually crowded and noisy. The servers are sometimes overworked: they're always on the go and I never see them lazing around, but it's still sometimes hard to get drink refills and so on.
I should make it clear that I'm a certified old fuddy-duddy and like to converse over dinner. For some young single folks the noise might be part of the excitement.
If you're looking for New Orleans-style food, this is the place to go.
Pros: The chef(s) really know how to cook New Orleans style food right.
Cons: The noise, the crowding

The Old Pro is especially great for watching NFL games on Sundays as they do a good job of spacing the games around on the different HD televisions, and posting which games will be on each screen.
Pros: food, beer, tvs, crowd

I went to the Thursday night tasting event with a friend, and it was great! It was fun to be able to taste at the pace you want, how much you want, as well as choose what you want to taste. The small plates of food were all yummy, and went well with the wines! The service was great and the bartenders were very educated on the wines. I highly recommend going to this restaurant, it's a great place to go with a group of friends, family, or a great first date spot!
Pros: Ambiance, Food, Wine

Blue Chalk is more of a bar than a restruant, and fridays and saturday nights it's completely packed with stanford students trying to party the night away.
During the day, however, it is a full-service restrauant with a distinctively american fare. You can get burgers, sausages, pizza, chicken, and anything else you would find in a bar-turned-cafe venue.
At night, however, it becomes a pseduo-nightclub complete with bouncer checking drivers licenses. Inside is a DJ blasting bop-bop-bop-thump-bop tunes as well as several pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, and other bar-esque games.
There are 3 full bars: 2 downstairs and one upstairs that are often crowded at night with a 5-10 min wait to get drinks. Then again, that's what you expect for a psedo-hop bar next to a college campus.
