They make a wonderful smokey peach fruit salsa. I've got all of my family hooked on it. They all live out of state so when we visit I always stock up and take it along. It is so smooth and goes good with fish and chicken. I always include it in food gift baskets

This is my all time favorite winery here in the valley. I just love their gift shop. It's filled with such a vast array of gifts, and handmade crafts. You can find just about something for everyone on your gift list. Plus they have wine tasting and a complete selection of their wines to purchase. We return here year after year.

The Palisade Brewery was terrific. It was one of my favorite Colorado memories. Our bartender/chef was Glen--he was great to talk to and he let us sample the various types of drinks that the brewery makes.
The dining area is right next to where the brewing is actually done, so the atmosphere was fantastic, too.
If I lived near it, I would visit all the time!

Have you ever read a book where weary travelers, perhaps knights, walk into a pub or inn and order up some mugs of mead? I have. And I had no idea what Mead was. I had no idea, that is, until I visited the Rocky Mountain Meadery in Palisade Colorado. The lady there was really nice. She explained that Mead is simply wine made from honey instead of grapes! When you visit you can sample the many types of mead which range from dry to sweet to flavored. If you like wine, mead may be a nice change of pace. And if you don’t usually like wine, I recommend that you try some mead!

We stayed two nights at this charming B&B. The property is centrally located in Palisade, close to downtown, bike paths and wineries. The sleeping arrangements are very comfortable and a good value. We did not have the opportunity to taste the breakfasts, but they sure did smell good!
The B&B provides loaner mountain bikes.
