Ordered a wedding cake from Cindy at Gartman's and was totally happy. Cindy is an artist when it comes to wedding cakes. Not only did it look fantastic but tasted great as well. We ordered the Almond flavored cake It was the most stunning cake I have ever seen. She did exactly what I wanted and was very satisfied with her work. Not so "best kept" secret in Painesville. 11/24/2010

I have lived all over the country and whenever I tell someone that I came from Painesville, Ohio, they want to know if I have been to Gartman's Bakery. Can not believe this little bakery has such a wide spread reputation. Love their cake the most but just about anything Al Gartman makes is worth trying. I recomend Gartman's to everyone! more

25 cent donuts!!!! 3/23/2006

I love this bakery. They are located in downtown Painesville right across from the Lake County Job & Family Service building. They have great tasting donuts and they start at only twenty-five cents, depending what kind of donut you choose. They have of course other bakery items such as cakes, cookies, and pastries. They have one of a kind pepperoni rolls you have to try. more
