Everything here was amazing! First, when you walk down the steps, you are greeted with a spectacular view of the white crests of the ocean, beautiful gardens and amazing sceanery. When you are seated, the view is still amazing. I had the shrimp watons for appetizer and the MahiMahi. Some of the best food on the island.

This store is located on Hana Hwy in Paia town, on the makai side, just as you are leaving town and headed for Kahului. There is a public parking lot almost opposite the store. They have a great selection of goods that really are made on Maui by local crafters. They have eye catching window displays, and once you get inside and take your time looking around you will realize they have something for every budget.

Guidebooks on Maui all list Mama's Fish House as one of the best restaurants on the island, if not the best. While some of the restaurants recommended in our travel books were a bit overhyped (and way overpriced), our dinner at Mama's was worth the time and money. The setting is gorgeous, right on the ocean outside of the town of Pa'ia. The atmosphere is rather laid back for a gourmet restaurant. The entrees we had, both fish of course, were outstanding. What a difference it makes to eat seafood caught the same day! Dessert, which consisted of a macadamia nut-banana crumble, topped off our experience. If you are going to splurge on one restaurant while on Maui, this is your place!

Every year my family goes to Maui to vist my in laws, and every year I have to get my Charlies fix. This is amazing food. The pancakes are hugh and so good. I look forward to it every year. The coconut syurp is the best. Everything they serve is in hearty protions and it tastes so good.
Willy Nelson loves it, and plays there when he is home. It just has to be great.
They have a hugh replica of Willy's guitar - so its a lot of fun and in a great little town to go shopping in.
Pros: Its a great place to eat and enjoy your friends and family.
Cons: There is nothing bad about this place.

More
We choose this trip over the numerous guided tours and we are so glad we did! The unguided tour is a whole lot more of what YOU want to do instead of what your tour operator wants to do. On the way down the mountain we were passed numerous times by the guided tour groups which travel FAST down the mountain, so don't think your going to get to see anymore by doing a guided tour. While the unguided tour we could go at our own pace and it was very relaxing. The down side is that there is no pick up for you in the morning you gotta drive yourself there by 2 am. On the plus side, you do get a parking spot in Paia ,which is hard to come by, so after your done you can walk around town. Our guide filled us with all kinds of information about the areas we were passing through and got us a good spot to watch the sunrise. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

More
Located upcountry, Herman's is not a place you will find in the yellow pages; you have to know about it. For years, Herman's has salvaged vehicles and sold the parts for repairs. He does not really keep what you would call "regular hours," so if you need something you give him a call and ask if he has it. If he does, you go over and pick out the part, pay for it, and you are on your way after having saved some bucks.

We loved the Inn at Mama's Fish House. We stayed in the studio. Not only was it huge, but it had a kitchen as well. It also had its own gas grill as well as a shared washer and dryer. We also found it nice, as they provided full beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, coolers, snorkel gear, buckets and shovels).
