75th St, Overland Park location. I've been a patron for 8 years and my husband has eaten there for far longer. The food's been going downhill for the last several months & the service glares at you when you walk in the door. Last night's brisket had sheets & clumps of yellow fat hanging off it & I'd bet a nickel the beans came from a can. Absolutely repulsive; will never give my heardearned cash to them again.

Good: Obviously I like the unique apple'y sauce and the smoked meat but I also find the staff to be friendly and accomodating.. Bad: The drink station doesn't have any room to set your tray while you fill your cup. Get a smaller soda fountain that fits better on the drink station or move it to another location.. Improvements: You also need to resurface the parking lot. The sink holes from 30 years of parking need to be addressed. It has been that way as long as I can remember (20 years or more)..

I love the meat at Wyandotte 2, but many think their sauce flavor is "unique". I personally like it, but everyone I bring there always says the same thing: that the sauce has a weird aftertaste. I think there is Allspice or clove in their sauce, which gives it an aftertaste that everyone may not like.
Their meats are top notch, tender ribs, nice brisket, sweet ham, nice sliced pork. The counter help is rude and impersonal, but I don't go there for ambience, I go there to eat!

I have lived for 53 years in Kansas City and Wyandotte bbq is the best I have ever tasted from California to the east coast. The meat falls off the bone and altho, there are other bbq places that are really good here in the center of bbq land, Wyandotte is the only place I will go when others just don't fill my bbq cravings. It is casual, blue jeans work great. I would place it as a bbq in Kansas City that has got to be at least tried and make your own mind up. I love it.

It’s something that you will either really like or really dislike. Their menu is typical of any barbecue restaurant. The restaurant itself is very casual.
