On the recommendation of our realtor, we applied for our mortgage loan last Summer thru Plaza Mortgage, a Wells Fargo affiliate, which shares the same office building and is in the Reece & Nichols family of companies. Everyone there was wonderful to work with (especially our Mortgage Consultant, Melanie Bakarich!!! http://melaniebakarich.reeceandnichols.com/AgentHome/Homepage.aspx ) and they made the home buying process so simple! It was literally just a few minutes from the time she sat down with us and took our info until the time we had our pre-approval letter in hand... and because of this speedy service, we actually toured our tour home, obtained financing, submited our offer, and had it accepted all in 1 day! Best of all, we obtained a wonderful low interest rate! If we ever need a Mortgage Loan again, we'll definitely be back! :)

What I like about Capitol Federal Savings is that they are a small hometown bank, yet they have the best loans in town. They seem to have excellent rates, plus they won’t sell y our home loan like most lenders these days. You do need above average credit to qualify for their mortgages, but they are definitely worth it.

This is my favorite bank. They have friendly service and good rates. They always give suckers to the kids and make them feel welcome as well. They run special promotions all the time where they give away ice cream treats and things like that. Makes this bank a nice community bank.

Friendly service abounds at this local bank. If you’re tired of the big banks that have absolutely no customer service, then I recommend moving your money over to Metcalf Bank. They are helpful, friendly and will never cause you any undo stress. Since it is a small bank without a lot of branches, you may miss the convenience of abundant ATMs. I believe it’s a small sacrifice for the service you will receive.

If you’re looking for a small, friendly bank without many perks, Valley View is a good bank to visit. This bank only offers a handful of branches, but it does offer a complete array of basic services. The staff is generally friendly and you won’t feel lost in the crowd like you can with bigger banks.

I can understand any business being busy. But, not a good sign when you call during office hours, and you cant get anyone to pick up the phone or even a recorded message. Hopefully Jackson Hewitt is in this town--I went to H and R last year and wanted to be loyal.... but, got to do what needs done!
