Met Tammy to review options after a phone then on site quote. Selected the style at the show room. They have a good selection of low medium and high offerings. I selected the mid range. One side of glass was cut too long and rather than try and convince me it was ok, the installer was honest and said he would need to come back (it happens). He just got through finishing the job and it looks excellent. Good job and thanks. Michael. Pros: Honest, No fuss and reasonable price

This is Tammy, the Office Manager at Classic Shower Door. We have been in business for over 25 years. The owner of Classic Shower Door has 45 years experience in fabricating and installing custom shower doors. We don't know who kchomeowner is, although it sounds like they purchased a by-pass slider that has a towel bar on the outside piece of glass. I think the problem might be that the towel bar is not on the side that the homeowner would like for it to be. Explanation: By-pass sliders have two pieces of glass described as "inside" & "outside" panels, meaning that one piece of glass is closer to the inside of the tub and one is closer to the outside, allowing them to by-pass. If a person is facing a bathtub and the shower head is to the left, then the "inside" panel would be on the left and the "outside" panel that has the towel bar would be on the right. The reason for this is that the water from the shower head will spray "against/away" from the overlap between the two panels and not "through" the overlap of the two panels. Regarding kchomeowner seeing a shower door that would work for them in a hardware store: it could be that the display model at the store was set up reverse from the customer's shower door. That doesn't mean that it should be installed that way , it depends which side the shower head is located as to which position the doors are installed. The explanation we would have given a customer regarding their bathtub being "backwards" is that if we installed the shower door panels the way that they wanted, it would be backwards of a proper install. Therefore, allowing the water from the shower head to spray between the panels of glass. If any readers out there have questions, please feel free to call. Seemed like a good idea at the time - professionally installed shower doors in our newly renovated bath room. Met with the company in their showroom, picked out our style of door. Had their professional come out and measure to be sure of correct fit. Then had their installer put the doors in and after spending over 10% of our bathroom's budget on what we thought where quality doors - found out they are backwards (open on the wrong side right next to the toilet and not useable) and this company's comment - our bathtub was backwards - all doors only open this way?!? Neither the professional measurer or installer mentioned this and the old door we had on the shower work just great (wishing I'd just kept them now) and opened correctly. Even did a quick check at the local hardware stores and low-and-behold their doors open the right way for our tub - Bottom line - purchase from these guys very carefully!
