Recently on one of my routine visits to my dentist, Dr. Edward M. Amet a prosthodontist, made a suggestion that I should visit my physician and request an evaluation for the disease Polycythemia Vera. For the last several years there had been an ongoing change in my physical appearance and how I was feeling. Since the recognition and correcting of the problem by my physician, who had not observed it, I feel much better and my chances of suffering a fatal heart attack or stroke have been dramatically decreased.
Also more that 25 years ago he did my full mouth reconstruction and nothing has changed, yet up until that time I had many problems
He still has the same two assistants/Office staff since 1984

As I have gotten older, I am finding that I feel better seeing an Opthamologist rather than an Optometrist ... there is a staff at KC Eye Clinic that is phenomenal to work with.
My daughter had an eye accident when she was very young, and one of the doctors from this group was called upon to do the emergency surgery. That was the first exposure we had to the clinic. Her doctor was incredible ... caring and gentle.
Several years later, I had a situation where my eyelid stuck to my eyeball as I slept and it scraped my cornea. I ended up back at the KC Eye Clinic, and got that fixed.
Now my husband and I both go here for all of our vision needs ... they are awesome!

Husband and wife. The funny thing is my husband ended up going to Dr. Jay after I was already seeing "Mrs. Jay". They are both excellent doctors. I liked the fact that they were so personable and had a great deal of knowledge regarding nutrition for the eyes as well as just general overall health. Up to date on all exams and now do eye mapping and macular degeneration testing as well as pigmentation testing.....important for fair skinned red heads like me. Cannot say enough good things about the practice. Unfortunately we had to move to STL. So we really miss our eye doctors!

Dr. Anderson has been my dr. for six years. I have my daughter seeing him now as well. He is a great listener, which can be very rare in a doctor. He is a generalist, so if I have more specific needs, he does need to refer me, but he has never referred me to another dr. I didn't like. He seems caring; his staff is friendly and responsive to telephone inquiries and informational requests.
