When I moved away from the Kansas City area for a couple of years, I missed the mid west. So, when I would come to visit, I would always hit Kansas Sampler to get items to take back with me. You can find anything that deals with Kansas and/or Missouri in there. I was able to pick up some Kansas Postcards and I put them in a frame. It was much cheaper than actually purchasing a picture. If you are looking any type of item with KU or KSU logos, this is the place. I was able to get some Wizard of Oz items also. Now that I am back at home, I love to in and still shop. It can be expensive.

I found Trinity House to have a very large and tasteful selection of books on Catholicism and a quality selection of gifts for just about any occasion. I was looking for a Communion gift and there must have been over a thousand different gifts to select from. The staff were all family and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A fun place to shop at.

My favorite things has a large and elaborate display of Christmas gifts and décor. The dark and cozy setting is lit by spotlights shining on their themed areas which are generally holiday related. Even when it is summer they are always very seasonal inspired. Christmas definitely starts early here. They also carry items by local artists and are of better quality. Be careful where you move since things are crowed together and you might bump into something.

My Favorite Things is a wonderful place to go for fabulous decorating ideas and merchandise. Prices are reasonable and they have things in this store that I never see anywhere else. Several times a year, they completely turn over their merchandise, and you can get wonderful things for clearance prices. They also have great soup and appetizer mixes.

These people are great! Give them a call and you can get same day delivery on balloon bouquets. I surprised my husband at the firestation with a balloon bouquet on his 30th B-Day. I called early in the morning and he had his arrangement by 3:00 the same day. I told them what I wanted and they came through for me. Very happy with this business.....

This gift store offers a huge variety of items. They have college licensed merchandise, precious moments figurines, beanie babies, and many, many other collectibles. The employees are very helpful and nice. The items are very reasonably priced.

This gift shop was hidden in the middle of Deer Creek Woods. I just happen to walk by after eating at Noodles on 135th & Metcalf. I bought my mother and early Mother's Day gift. A crystal vase with flowers. I see they also have a KC web site: www.kcirishcrystalcom. Check it out! I found Swarovksi there too! MCN

This place is a scrapbooker's dream!! Great selection of albums, paper, embellishments, books, magazines, etc--I don't think there's anything I haven't been able to find there. They have a great clearance corner and keep out of season supplies there as well, so I can finish my Halloween pages in June!
