After recently moving from New York City and growing up on the high qualilty pizza that is made there, i have discovered Original Pizza which has the same great taste and style as the New York pizza. Since it's a family business, the employees are extremely nice and will carry on a great friendly conversation any time. Easily the best pizza outside of New York.

This place is truly unique in KC. Sure there are other "St. Louis Style" places out there but these guys do it the best. Unlike some of the others, George's has a great texture (I get the Provel/Mozz mix) cheese, delicious sauce, a wonderful crust, and an Italian sausage that is one of the best I've tasted.

I love this place for a quick lunch...as do many others...it's usually packed! Don't let the long line intimidate you though...it moves really quickly. My favorites are the Carnitas and the Barbacoa...but I've really never had anything bad...although occasionally the fajita veggies are undercooked. If you are into your diet...ask for a salad...get black beans and enjoy!!

This is a friendly neighborhood type of bar that serves burgers and other bar food. The place has lots of televisions, both large and small, most often tuned to games or other sporting events that are on live TV at that time. The bar allows smoking and does not have a non- area, so you need to be aware that it is not for the person who cannot deal with smoke. It can be a little loud, but is still a fun place for light food that could never be described as "fine food".

Growing up on the East Coast in a very Italian area I am an absolute Pizza Snob.
First of all it is hand tossed and baked in a true pizza oven, not some conveyor belt toaster oven.
The ingredients are fresh and if your lucky Joe will have some of his home grown tomato to use.
I sometimes buy the fresh pizza dough and take it home to bake calzones with.
I have eaten there 3-4 times a month for the last 4 years and never had a bad experience.
You can actually fold the slice the long way like we do back home.
