M-F, they have some great buy one get one type specials. This place is very tex-mex, which I like. I don't think it pretends to be authentic Mexican anything. It does a great job of serving the neighborhood. The owner/manager is always there making sure things run smoothly.
The hostesses and waitresses are very nice. The Chips & Salsa are not an addt'l cost (ref. to previous review). I happen to like the salsa quite a bit!! I have had the enchiladas (very tasty). I wasn't over the moon about the tacos. Stick with the enchiladas or something like that.
If you are watching your weight, get the soupy beans instead of the refried. they are very good.
Pros: Service, Salsa
Cons: Parking can be hard

The food is average at best and the lunch portions leave more than just a little to be desired. You can try and make up for the lack of food you were provided with the chips and salsa, but the "hot" salsa isn't very good. By the way. the chips and sauce cost extra. I've been here on a few occasions with coworkers who love the place, but I'll be very slow to ever go back. I can think of 5 places of the top of my head with better food and service.
Pros: I'm stilling thinking......
Cons: compared to the good mexican place, about everything

First let me just say Amen to this place. I am so in love with Jalapeno's. I've been going to this place for more than 10 years. I have had many of their menu items and I have not found anything that I didn't like, from an appretizer to their fried ice cream. My personal favorite is the fajita's. They serve you the traditional chips and salsa, and their salsa is by far the best in the Metro. I also hooked on their cheese dip. The restaurant is clean and the wait staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonable. I definately recommend this place. In fact, I think I am going there tonight!

We are somewhat new to the area and have been searching for a mexican restaurant that measures up to one of our old favorites.
The non-smoking section really IS non-smoking. The chips and salsa were excellent. If you're picky like me, you don't like chunky salsa. Jalapeno's salsa is smooth with just a little texture, so you don't have to worry about digging around large vegetable pieces. Everyone was very pleased with their food, which arrived quickly and without error.
The prices are right ($5.95 for the burrito, but it was Wednesday, so only $4.95), the portions were good and all the chips and salsa you can eat.
The glasses are large enough that you won't be sweating bullets waiting for a refill every 5 minutes either. And speaking of refills, the service was great. Very friendly, prompt and attentive.
Pros: Salsa, Prices, Service
Cons: Location (hidden), Small waiting area
