Although Ace Sports & Tickets is great for tickets that are needed at the last minute, I have found them to be extremely high priced in any other instance. I have found tickets for sporting events to be significantly cheaper, and providing better seats than those available through Ace Sports & Tickets. My advice for finding the event tickets that you desire: Try Ebay first, Ticketmaster and similar sites next, followed by your local paper online and use Ace Tickets only when you have no other options, or unless you don’t mind paying excessively for mediocre seats.

My family has a good time bowling at the AMF on College Boulevard. The facility used to be really run down but they have updated the carpet and ceiling tiles lately and it is much cleaner. Sometimes the lanes do not work and we have to hit the reset button after each frame but this does not always happen. The arcade is okay but it does not give you many tickets to buy items. That is probably fine anyway as there aren't many items to buy and what there is is very cheapy things. The restrooms are just so so. They aren't real dirty but not great either. It is a safe place and is an okay place to go bowling.

I took my 20 month old son to Deanna Rose Farmstead today for the second time. It is absolutely wonderful. You can feed the goats, chickens, fish, etc. It is fun to watch the prairie dogs, the rabbits, and all of the other animals. They also have playgrounds for the kids as well as a snack bar. The admission is free. You must go there!!!

Gary Gribbles Running Store is a great place to go if you are a runner. They will analyze how you walk, and then tell you what shoes you should wear. They give you a couple options, and are great at picking the most comfortable, and affordable shoes. Some of the shoes are a little pricey though.
All the employees are there to help you, and know a lot about running. They were very curtious and helpful.
4 Stars instead of 5 because some of the shoes are a little expensive.
NOTE: The store is moving down a couple stores at the Stoll Park Shopping Center. They are still located in the Stoll Park Shopping Center, but just a new store.

The Golf Stop on the corner of 135th & Quivera is a great place to go for golf. The employees there are practically golf gods knowing everything there is to know about golf. They will help you pick out what clubs are right for you.
My favorite thing about Golf Stop is the Monday promotion during the fall. However many points the Kansas City Chiefs score on Sunday is the percentage off golf equipment on Monday. I still remember the Monday afternoon when everything was 45% off. The place was full, and everyone was getting a deal.
Golf Stop is the place to go if you want to learn about golf.

You will want to spend the entire afternoon "playing" at Incred-A-Bowl! They took out the old game room and made it into an indoor miniture golf. They still have a large game room, though. This place is HUGE! They have several high tech lanes to bowl on, indoor mini golf that is set up like the amazon rain forrest, a really nice bar and grill and a big video game room. We had my son's 4th B-Day party there and they were super friendly and helpful....and cheap! Just a wonderful place to spend the afternoon!

Meyer Music is a music store that sells musical instruments, and also offers lessons for them. My sister used to go to Meyer Music, but the prices were very high. Luckily they were having a promotion that girl scouts got free piano lessons during the summer back then. I don’t think they offer that anymore. As soon the summer was over my sister stopped going there.

Oak Park Mall is by far the best mall around. It is a huge mall that is constantly being renovated to keep up with the times. It has a carousel and a train in the bottom level of the mall for the young children or those young at heart. Some of the great store and restaurants include The Rainforest Cafe, Build a Bear Workshop, Victoria's Secret.

I was never a huge fan of golf, but working here definatly made me a fan of the course. Everybody I worked with made it a joy coming in to work every day and the golfers I dealt with were always very friendly, even after a rough game, which has to show they enjoyed where they were. The greens were always well kept and the location is in a nice area of Overland Park. I remember rates also being pretty decent as well, but it's been a year or two.
