I have a 130 year old home in downtown Lee's Summit. I have a true crawl space under the kitchen floor which was uninsulated. Mike's can-do attitude certainly extended to his crew....they were skeptical, but so was I. It was an UNBELIEVABLE tight space, but they crawled in and got the job done. Courteous and professional from Mike's initial visit until Larry and Tyler left the job. No mess, no hassles. Don't call anyone else.

I also had them do two additional insulation projects on the house besides the exterior walls (An exposed floor project and additional blown in attic insulation). I would use this company again in a heart beat.

A Plus Insulation responded to my request for someone to insulate a couple of walls in my hundred-year old, three story house. I was expecting a hard sell to insulate the entire monstrosity. It didnt happen. Mike, the owner/operator, explained the insulation he thought would work best and gave me a firm quote. His information coincided with what I had researched online, as did the price. (He even suggested that I select the less expensive insulation.) His crew was scheduled in quickly. They were friendly and professional. They cleaned up as they went. If I need any more insulation work in the future, I will call A Plus.

I hired Mike O'Hara and A+ Insulation to do my blown-in insulation job because he was the most up-front and honest about all aspects of the job. He stated the calculated square footage, the number of bags of insulation, and the resulting R-Value that would be achieved, on his estimate, while five others simple gave a total price and R-Value. He also recommended an attic fan cover that was much more efficient than the one I was considering. No pressure, just facts. He also provided specific information about the product he would be installing and why it was a better long term solution. Very clean job, with no mess for me to take care of.

He showed up a little late for the consultation, but I live in Lawrence, and he did keep me notified that he would be running late. Other than that everything went well. They were very efficient and all the costs were upfront. He didn't have to do as much as he thought and decreased the overall price accordingly at the end. A good transaction overall.
