My husband has been a cardholder at Rush Creek for a number of years, at least once a week he plays the course and my son and I meet him for dinner. My usual fare is the Charlie's Exceptional Steak....the name says it all! Who needs Manny's or Murray's when you can get a great steak dinner for such a resonable price. I suggest the sweet potato souffle for your potato choice...fantastic as well!
The service is top notch. The waitstaff are friendly and many great us by name (in fact most of them remember my order down to how I like my steak prepared).
We were so impressed by the food and service my husband and I were married and hosted our reception there.
TOP NOTCH!
Pros: great food, great service, great view !
Cons: Can't think of one!

I go to this location once a week. I know from experience that the lines can be long, the lobby can be crowded, and sometimes you'd like to run before they ding that bell and sing. I recently had a talk to their ONLY manager there, a wonderful young woman who showed amazing interest in her employee's and her work. I've been there winter and summer and I'm surprised that month after month, season after season that she turns out such amazing customer service along with her employee's. Once you walk in and let the employee's help you (don't ignore their helpful suggestions!) you'll be charmed by them, and soon get to know them by name as I have. There is just something about this C.S. that makes it like a family and you their newest family member, and I recommend this location without a doubt as the best! KUDOS!
Pros: Birthday cakes, mothersday cakes, christmas cakes!

For years I coveted my friend Rebecca's hair. And not just the way it looked. Her experience at the MD Salon. Her cut worked with her, morphing into more fabulous results every season. Her color, top notch, never predictable, never something I'd see on anyone else. But Becca is an artist and chef, with a look I thought would make her salon too cool for me, mother of 3.
Not wanting to step on her toes (or chic hair) I avoided trying her salon, and waited till I moved to NC to cut 8" off my hair. After a series of poor cuts (none of which were edgy enough) I threw my hands up. But on a recent business trip back the MN, I booked an appt at MDS. Now I see what I missed.
The first call I made to book was the most warm, delightful interaction I've had with a salon. Daneal, who helped me tremendously, felt like an old friend within minutes. My appt with Hannah/Angie was confirmed ONLINE(!!) and I already felt confident and excited to come.
My experience at MDS (3/20) was the best salon experience I have ever had, and I've been coloring my hair since I was 12. Everyone (seriously everyone) that I encountered there seemed to love what they do and seemed to want me to have great hair. I knew they would be skilled, that I'd have great magazines, beverage offers, etc. But I expected a more pretentious experience.
Angie/Hannah both consulted with me (and each other) and checked on me throughout the process. They wanted me to be thrilled, and I honestly felt like I could call with a question or concern. My cut/color are unique to me. The color is painted into my hair in a way that flows with my texture and face shape. It is not layers of perfectly spaced stripes. My cut works with my hair so I don't have to fight it to make it work.
Angie/Hannah are artists, without the ego. For the first time since one random prom, I left not wanting to 'redo' my hair: it was edgy, cute, fun, and still not looking like a mom trying to be 18. (Noteworthy: It was pouring rain that day and Daneal even offered to give me her umbrella so my hair could stay dry and hot! for my night on the town.)
My biggest problem is that I have to find a place that approaches this kind of quality, skill, and customer service in Raleigh, NC. I will need to maintain this cut and color between trips back to MN, and am certain this great experience at MDS will ruin other salons for me. I want to take a salon tour and show other stylists how my hair looks now so that they can match the excellence achieved by Angie/Hannah. I might look a little nutty, however.
Thanks MDS!
Pros: Excellent service, from every single associate
Cons: Pricey, but they run specials and coupons!

WDD and these other mass market jewelers are a joke. The latest ad from WDD and Shane talks about "vast selection." What a pile. Any smaller independant jeweler will give you more personalized service, a better selection (the band I selected for my wife was out of a 900 page book of bands you can select from) and the diamonds are of way better quality. So not only can you pick your own band, but setting AND diamond as well rather than some junk pulled out of a display case. I know all about the "C's". WDD's markup is huge. I paid just over $3000 for my wife's ring and the clarity is phenominal. It was appraised at just under $5k. And no, I have no ties with the jewelery industry, I'm just saying don't rely on these guys for a diamond you'll end up sorry for. WDD is nothing but a ripoff, but hey, you get a free soda, right...
Cons: Their selection and advertising

Every time I have come here (Maple Grove), the wait staff has always been very friendly and knowledgable. You always start out with the "biaggi butter" which is olive oil, parmesan and cracked black pepper to dip a variety of breads in. We always start out with the bruschetta, which is the best of all the italian restaurants we've been to (including in Italy) and end our meals with their fantastic desserts. Everything in between is fabulous!
Pros: Atmosphere, wait staff, food and desserts.

It is the simply the best Thai in town with out a doubt. If you like Sawadtee, A Taste of Thailand or comparable restaurants, you will love this place. My mother in law told me how great this place was, and I was skeptical at first. When I went there I was very pleased. The spring rolls are amazing.

The first thing that really strikes you is the traditional (and comfortable) pub atmosphere; dark stained wood, curtained side dining areas and a beautiful copper bar. The second, and possibly third through fifth, thing you'll find is that they serve properly pulled pints of Guinness. Anyone who enjoys Guinness will appreciate that they take their time pouring and serve you a pint that delivers the full flavor intended by the brewers. It is also evident that, since they pour so much Guinness, the kegs are fresher than at most restaurants and the price remains below what I've come to expect for a pint of the stout.
While the menu is not vast, it is filled with great traditional fare along side more contemporary pastas, sandwiches, etc. The fish and chips alone should solidify you as a regular; flavorful ale batter on a massive piece of moist whitefish. Their tartar sauce perfectly compliments the meal. The meatloaf is quite an undertaking, but chances are that you'll choose to be painfully full rather than leave any of it on the plate. No matter what you have, make sure to start with a cup of the Guinness onion soup; it's their Gaelic twist on French onion. I've never had a onion soup with as flavorful a broth. I've been tempted to upturn the bowl for the last few drops.
Normally, I am reticent to fall in love with a "trendy" suburban chain restaurant but I just can't help myself. It doesn't feel like a chain; it feels like a comfortable pub with friendly servers and good food. And in the end, that's what really matters.
Pros: Great food, service and atmosphere
Cons: Parking is tough; may have to walk a block.

These are just plain sublime. Never mind that you can drive to Clear Lake, IA, and spend less time...they won't be hot! They are apparently glazed with a magic potion that does not leave that nasty waxy feeling in your mouth that other glazed doughnuts do. Some things are not meant to be "healthy;" doughnuts are one of those things, and these are The Best. Try the hot cinnamon buns, too.

I went to houlihans at peak dinner time, and we were seated right away. The menu's came, and I was expecting the meat and potatoes type menu, but was pleasantly surprised. They had a huge variety of internationally inspired appetizers, salads, and entrees. I wasn't feeling too adventurous, so I ordered the fish and chips. My meal was well-plated and was accented with grilled lemon. Everything tasted top-notch. The prices were fine - it was about $20 per person including beer and appetizers. I will definitely come back.
Pros: Value, extensive menu
