My family and I visited this restaurant our first evening at Disney.. It was a Sunday and it took a hour to get a table. The selection was ok, but I thought that the prices were a little high. The children of course enjoyed the animals everywhere. The service also was not that great. We didn't get refills on our drinks and the wait to get our food was exstreamly long.

We dined at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, and it is a great dining atmosphere for the kids. There is a tropical rainstorm every thirty minutes, which is really cute and entertaining. The food is just all right, and it is overpriced. I do feel sorry for the waitstaff, as they are trained sales people, constantly talking your ear off and trying to sell you extras and items. That was really a bit annoying. But my son enjoyed all of the animals and the thunderstorms, and it gets you out of the orlando sun for a spell.

Rainforest Cafe has several locations throughout the United States however th only locations we've visited are in Central, Florida. There are two in the Orlando area. We have visited both. If you are at the Animal Kingdom theme park, plan on a long wait to visit that location and if you visit Downtown Disney, plan on a long wait as well. If you go early, you can usually get right in or try calling ahead a reservation. The environment is really great for little kids but food is vastly overrated and overpriced. As an overall experience, I would recommend it at least once, but you are paying for the atmosphere - not the food. Also, if you want loud, singing clapping staff coming up to your table, order the VOLLLLLLCAAAAAANO!

What a thrill for the kids to sit among the (animated) animals and plants and eat dinner or lunch. My Grandkids thought this was so neat as we listened to the soft rain and animal sounds of the RAINFOREST. We had some great photo backgrounds too! The food is pricey but good, and the ambiance can't be beat!

Located in Downtown Disney, The Rainforest Cafe is a themed restaurant with awesome atmosphere. Unless you are actually in a rain forest, you will not find a better restaurant that makes you feel like you are actually in a rain forest. At least once an hour it thunderstorms (don't worry it doesn't actually rain on you!) and the animatronic animals that are all over the restaurant are constantly stirring and making noises. Kids and big kids alike will get a kick out of the Rainforest Cafe. While I am not a huge fan of the food here, the atmosphere makes up for it. If you want a huge, decadent dessert try the Volcano Brownie Sundae. And be prepared to wait here- it is always packed.

The Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney is a popular restaurant and gift shop. The wait at Rainforest would have been long but we knew a secret. Rainforest Club members are moved to the front of the waiting list and are seated very quickly. In addition to the quick seating we received a discount on both our food and purchases. It does cost to join the club but it was worth the cost just to get around the one to two hour wait but the discount saved us enough to cover the cost. The Rainforest Cafe decor is bright, cheerful and fun. Meal choices were nicely different from other casual dining choices and they offer some really great tasting specialty drink selections. The service we received was great, as was the food. Our visit to Rainforest Cafe was a highlight of our family vacation and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
