A very nice place to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon. Beautiful gardens to stroll through on paved walkways. Inexpensive family fun and Monday mornings before noon are free. The kids favorite is the clock garden. The rose garden and butterfly gardens are very nice too. I would avoid the afternoon heat of the summer, spring time is pretty there.

I would not pay to get in this place. It's free on Mondays and that is the day I usually go. It's not really a wonderful place for kids unless you have girls and they love flowers and butterflies, which mine do. Unfortunately when we went they only had 5 butterflies fluttering around in the butterfly garden. I personally enjoyed the wonderful smell while I walked through the herb garden. What made our trip was that there was a wedding there on the same day, so that was interesting to watch. Other than that, not much else to do there with the kids. It's more of a nothing better to do on a cool day so lets go for a stroll in a pretty garden kinda place. :)

This is a great place for the family to go for relaxation. Stroll around the gardens at your lesiure, tour the museum house, allow your children to run free in the large greens. We especially enjoy the vegetable and butterfly gardens, but we sorely miss the orchid house! Admission is free on Mondays before noon, but inexpensive every other day as well. Be sure to visit the gift shop for unique items!

If you like the outdoors and flowers , gardens and trees then this is the place for you I had a nice time and thought it was a very good value for my money. I would not go during the heat of the day and weekdays are much les crowded. It is a nice plae to walk around and unwind and just take in nature. I really enjoyed myself. My kids were not as amused as me.

Not a place I would normally choose to go, but my daughter took me here on Mother's Day and we really enjoyed this vast estate featuring camellias, bamboo, and many plants and trees I had never identified as a 15 year Florida resident. The rose garden and the butterfly area were of particular interest. We waited too late and missed the museum but a very nice feature was free admission to all mothers on that special day.

My wife and I have been to Leu Gardens a couple times, and we always enjoy it, even though were not gardening nuts.
The garden is very peaceful, and there're many places to sit and enjoy beautiful views. Every time we visit, there's something new to maintain our interest.
If you go, don't miss the tour of the Leu House (every 1/2 hour.) The best time to go is in Jan-Feb when the Camellias are blooming.
I you want to have lunch nearby, try the Panera Bread at Fashion Square Mall, or Athenian Garden Cafe on Orange Avenue.
Pros: Cheap, No crowds, Location

It is definitely worth the admission fee, but I thought this was a rating of FREE attractions. Leu Gardens charges an admission fee which should be pointed out.

I loved the gardens!!! They were amazing! I walked around all afternoon- they were so peaceful. It was nice to get away from the crowds of Disney World and relax.
