I visited Goldsmith Jewelers after many friends had recommended them for their great service and wonderful results. I met with David to assist me with designing very personal gifts for my two sisters and myself. Following our conversation, he captured the essence of my sisters personalities and designed 3 beautiful pieces for each of us. Mr. Robinson was equally attentive, and provided renderings of the pieces so I could "see them" before they were created. My sisters were thrilled, and I could not have appreciated their wonderful service more. Highly recommend this jeweler, for both their wonderful service and their beautiful work!
Pros: Professional Knowledgeable Staff

I recently was in the market for a Pair of Diamond Stud Earrings for my wife and a friend referred me to Goldsmith Jewelry Shoppe. I walked in the store and was greeted with a friendly helpful associate. My first thoughts were wow look at the selection of merchandise. I was impressed with the associated taking the time to explain to me that they have been in business for 27 years and they are a Full Service Facility ranging from repair to custom design. I was impressed the associate took the time to explain about Goldsmith Jewelry Shoppe before asking me why I was there. The associated then understood that I was looking for a pair of Diamond Stud Earrings for my wife. The associate even took the time to ask questions about my wife so she could better understand what may work best. I found the perfect pair of earrings for my wife and I actually came in under my budget which was a nice surprise. I will return to this store for all my future needs and feel comfortable to refer all my acquaintances to Goldsmith Jewelry Shoppe as well.
Pros: Great Experiance

I bought a modest ring from Goldsmith Jewelry Shoppe in 2001. It was all I could afford at the time. I shopped around several of the local jewelers and even shopped a few large chains. Goldsmith was the ONLY store to treat me as well as the man buying the Rolex next to me. I was not treated any less valuable than the "big spenders".
They helped me out with the price and even allowed me to put it on lay-away so that I could make payments on it. Because of the respect (and huge selection of jewelry) I have not shopped for jewelry anywhere else.
I got engaged in 2007 and still to this day I get the most compliments on my engagement ring because it was custom designed at Goldsmith so I am proud to say that no one else has my wedding ring.
Thanks Goldsmith!!
Pros: Price and service are #1
Cons: There are NONE!!

My wife and I have been married for 32 years and she has a lot of jewelry some old some new, and many pieces are very expensive. I wanted to get her something that was unique. Money is a little tight so I asked the young man for some suggestions. He was extremely helpful and immediately showed me some pieces that were well within my price range. More importantly he explained in detail about each piece. I'm a little hard of hearing but that did not seem to matter he was very understanding and worked with me. What a wonderful experience. Thank you from a totally satisfied customer...
Pros: Great Service and quality work

We went here for our wedding bands back in 1998 and both bought gold and white gold bands. We bought the rings about 6 months or so before the wedding but they just sat in the boxes. After we were married and started wearing the rings the white gold rubbed off. This was about a year after we bought the rings. This didn't seem right to us so we took them back. We were in for a rude awakening. They refused to believe us that the white gold came off by itself. They were rude and refused to listen to us and would say things like. You had these for over a year. You had your rings buffed? In response I would say no I did not have them buffed, why would you get your rings buffed. They just flat out would not believe that we did not get our rings buffed. There is nothing more frustrating when someone thinks you are lying and you are not. Anyway, even though it is 11 years later, you couldn't pay me to buy anything from this store and I tell anyone who is in the market my experience and to stay clear. I'm happy to say I actually convinced one person who was going to buy their wedding rings here not to. Yay! Still to this day whenever we look at our wedding bands (which are completely gold(no white gold) by the way and we never had them buffed!) I think of this experience. My husband has long ago stopped wearing his and I still do though and just try not to think about our experience.
Pros: uhhh, they have been around a long time
Cons: just hope nothing goes wrong

I was looking to upgrade my wifes diamond for our anniversary. I did the mall thing and didnt find anything there that impressed me, I checked a few other stores and then had a friend refer me to Goldsmith . I went there and had a great experience, purchased a very nice diamond and had a ring made. My wife wears it every day and gets comments all the time. I would strongly recommend it to all my friends and have done so.
Pros: great products, great service
Cons: my wife loves the store

My husband and I have been a customer of Goldsmith for many years and for our 5th wedding anniversary he wanted to upgrade my wedding band to a diamond wedding band. We came to Goldsmith and as usual were greeted by there friendly staff. I had to have my wedding ring custom designed because of the way my engagement ring was made only a custom ring would fit it. We never had a custom design done before, so they thoroughly explained the whole process of custom design and gave us a great price, so we decided to go for it. The whole process was great because we were able to be a part of the design. We reviewed there computerized drawing, wax mold and the finished piece came out beautiful and fit my engagement ring perfect! Also the band was finished in the time that they said it would be done. The whole experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back again.

We initially went to Goldsmith Jewelers only to have my ring finger measured, as my fiancé and I had planned to buy a ring through a custom jeweler in Austin. We were greeted by a friendly sales associate who subsequently “sold” us when we showed him a picture of the ring we wanted and he assured us he could make it. We decided to have the ring built by Goldsmith Jewelers because we liked the notion of being involved in the process (reviewing the CAD drawings and wax molds). Here are the problems we ran in to after deciding to go with Goldsmith: 1. The initial jeweler assured us that the “mill-grained” edge we wanted would be done by hand and therefore would not look exact to the rendering or the mold. When the ring was finished, the edge was done poorly and was inconsistent (flat on one side, raised on the other; different sized “grains” throughout); 2. One of the first wax molds was made using a setting entirely too small for the diamonds we had purchased. We pointed this out, only to have the jeweler measure the setting and confirm that this was fact; 3. The “finished” ring, had no “rhodium” finish like we had asked for; 4. They “finished” the ring, but the rhodium was darker on one side than the other and was missing altogether in other spots. The ring also had a scratch on the band (this is where the jeweler we were working with left the shop; the owner then assured us he would take over the project and fix the ring by building it from scratch); 5. Picked up the “finished” ring which, for the second time, had no “finish”; 6. The finish was done incorrectly (antique instead of rhodium); 7. The “antiquing” was done sloppily and spilled down the side of the ring; 8. The ring had a chip in the band. To date, I have merely paid for the IDEA of a ring. I cannot express to you how dissatisfied I am with this entire experience. Unfortunately, Goldsmith has an “All Sales Final” policy. I am not sure if this is standard for the industry, but it does not surprise me. We have provided them numerous attempts to make this right, and they have failed each and every time. My hope is lost and unfortunately they already have my money. I am just heartbroken over the whole experience. Needless to say, I do not recommend Goldsmith Jewelers for custom jewelry. If you're looking for a good salesperson, perhaps this is your place.
Pros: Good Salespeople
Cons: Unskilled Jewelers
