The Peacock is great. It adds a little downtown to the otherwise not very urbane culture of Orlando. It's a Gay/Lesbian night spot. But tons of straight but not narrow people (like me) hang out there. If your lucky you might see some local celebrities there too:) Like Billy Manes. The prices are pretty good and they always have good music/art up. You can also stop by the bar alone and pick up some pretty good conversations at the bar.

This Emeril’s is right in City Walk at Universal Studios. Great place to eat but you need a reservation. We had a great time and were seated by a window so we could watch people wandering around in the early evening while we enjoyed a delicious meal. Great food, good wine, and a really great atmosphere. Very nice!

This is by far the best Liquor Store in the area. The Selection is great, the prices are very competitive and there are some other perks that make this the place to shop. Liquor store normally close at 10 in this area; but, although IR Liquor turns off the open sign and locks the door,; the second you approach a muscle bound man unlocks the door and sees you in, like a bouncer in a club. After hours purchases is just a small plus (You young ones...read carefully) when you take into account the fact that carding is done about 10% of the time. The downside to all of this is that the staff is very inconsistent, will never remember your face despite all the business you give them and some of the after hours purchases and non-carding policies are subject to change on a person to person basis.

More
Pirates Dinner Adventure is a great time for the entire family. It is our second-favorite dinner show attraction in the entire central FL area. (Arabian Nights is our fave, but Pirates is a VERY close second!)
Be sure to bring a hearty appetite, because Pirates will fill even the emptiest stomach!!! Prior to the show, there is a great appetizer buffet laid out, and all kinds of goodies to eat -- you could practically make a meal out of all the choices offered pre-show!!
There is a museum area you can visit - there is a small fee to go in here but it was fascinating stuff! There is a brief "pre-show" that they put on for the audience before you go into the main theatre - they get audience participation for parts of it & it's a blast! I won't give away the story-line, but the pre-show gives you the preface to the story which continues during the main dinner show.
Food is excellant! Between the appetizer buffet and the dinner, we are always STUFFED when we go to Pirates! Beer & wine are served with dinner, if you like - or they have regular non-alcoholic beverages.
The 'stage' for the main show is a giant pirate ship sitting in the water. Each section of the audience cheers for their own pirate. They really do alot to get the audience involved, cheering & carrying on - it's a wonderful evening & so much fun!!! The story-line of the show is great - I won't give away the details here - but it's well-written and the performers are all top-notch entertainers.
On Saturday evenings, after the dinner show, they have their "Bucaneer's Bash" - just a fun time of dancing, music & good times, if you choose to stick around for that.
Altogether, Pirates Dinner Adventure is one of the most original 'themed dinner attractions' to hit this area, and is a must-see for anyone visiting central FL.
Ticket prices are the same as any other dinner-show attraction -- depending on your point of view, it may seem a little costly - but you could easily spend more at a high-class restaurant. To me, the wonderful entertainment combined with a great meal & great pre-show entertainment and food is well worth the price!

Ghiradelli's is a must if you're visiting the Downtown Disney Marketplace! (Formerly Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village) If you're a chocoholic like me, it will be agonizing to try to choose between all the heavenly treats available here!
Like anything near Disney, things are a bit pricey - but you get your money's worth in YUMMY taste!!
Ghiradellis is quite popular, so it can get crowded sometimes -- but even if you have to wait in line, it's well worth it!

this is my favorite place to have a beer. by far.
the selection is awesome. the beer is diverse and interesting. the staff really makes you feel at home.
the food is also really good. it's a sandwich cafe with a tiny bit of gourmet flair. the "grateful bread" is a personal favorite--it's turkey, cranberry mayo and dressing on whole wheat bread. SO Tasty.
the best thing about 903 Mills is the outdoor atmosphere. it's a great place to hang for hours. I love it. It's probably one of my favorite things about my neighborhood. It's also one of the best places to peoplewatch in the city.
they also have really good dinner specials in the evening.

Waffle House is a 24-hour restaurant. This is very important when it is 3 or 4 AM.
You used to have to go to the ATM in the hotel lobby across the parking lot to get cash for your order. But Waffle House has finally started accepting credit cards instead of cash only.
This is a great place to meet up with your friends.
but what makes this location of Waffle House really great is the staff--They are super-friendly.

I recently ate dinner here with my family. We had a 6:30 dinner reservation on a Friday night, and we were the first ones in the restaurant! But, by 7pm, the place was packed! And I could see why, the food was amazing and the service was exceptional. The flatbread appetizers were wonderful, I had the salmon, which was a huge portion and delicious and everyone else loved there food. It's a nicer restaurant, so the food is alittle more expeniseve, I think it was about $250 for 5 of us - but totally worth it!!
