Pirates Dinner Adventure is a great time for the entire family. It is our second-favorite dinner show attraction in the entire central FL area. (Arabian Nights is our fave, but Pirates is a VERY close second!)
Be sure to bring a hearty appetite, because Pirates will fill even the emptiest stomach!!! Prior to the show, there is a great appetizer buffet laid out, and all kinds of goodies to eat -- you could practically make a meal out of all the choices offered pre-show!!
There is a museum area you can visit - there is a small fee to go in here but it was fascinating stuff! There is a brief "pre-show" that they put on for the audience before you go into the main theatre - they get audience participation for parts of it & it's a blast! I won't give away the story-line, but the pre-show gives you the preface to the story which continues during the main dinner show.
Food is excellant! Between the appetizer buffet and the dinner, we are always STUFFED when we go to Pirates! Beer & wine are served with dinner, if you like - or they have regular non-alcoholic beverages.
The 'stage' for the main show is a giant pirate ship sitting in the water. Each section of the audience cheers for their own pirate. They really do alot to get the audience involved, cheering & carrying on - it's a wonderful evening & so much fun!!! The story-line of the show is great - I won't give away the details here - but it's well-written and the performers are all top-notch entertainers.
On Saturday evenings, after the dinner show, they have their "Bucaneer's Bash" - just a fun time of dancing, music & good times, if you choose to stick around for that.
Altogether, Pirates Dinner Adventure is one of the most original 'themed dinner attractions' to hit this area, and is a must-see for anyone visiting central FL.
Ticket prices are the same as any other dinner-show attraction -- depending on your point of view, it may seem a little costly - but you could easily spend more at a high-class restaurant. To me, the wonderful entertainment combined with a great meal & great pre-show entertainment and food is well worth the price!

La Nouba is the show put on by Cirque du Soleil which is permanently housed in their custom theatre at Downtown Disney Westside.
Seeing a live Cirque du Soleil performance is an experience you will never forget! It is impossible to convey in words just how spectacular these shows are! This is NOT a "circus" in the definition that most of us think of circuses. The best way I can think of to describe this is a bit of high-class circus, a bit of Broadway, a bit of world-class gymnastics/acrobatics, a bit of unbelievable musical scoring & vocals, and a healthy bit of outright magic!! There is nothing in this world quite like Cirque du Soleil!!!
Tickets may seem a bit pricey, but believe me, this show would be worth ten times the amount!!
The show is amazing from beginning to end - I particularly liked the closing acts on the fast-tracks & trampolines, the little chinese girls with the diabolos, and the aerial ballet in silk was astounding. It really is impossible to pick a "favorite" act from this show - every act is utterly amazing!

Spotlight dance studio is a great place for adult, as well as child, dance classes. As far as the adult classes go, the schedules are flexible and pay as you go (meaning if you want to just walk in on a wednesday and take a ballet class, you just pay for the class for one night and take it!). The childrens classes are a little more structured, since you pay month to month rather than class by class. They also offer acting, cheer, gymnastics, and vocal classes. They have experienced instructors with technical training, and an open, clean studio with several different rooms. A well rounded center for the performance arts!

What a wonderful way to renew our relationship. Both Harold and I have this
prototype lifestyle....work 12 hour days, eat, sleep and back to work again. He is
a Manager of an appliance store and I am at another location as a department manager. We don't get but an hour or so to be with each other every day and with
our positions we usually have a great deal of stress. I can't tell you what a pleasant change to such a hectic routine it was. For one the atmosphere in FLA
is so much more laid back, up here it is rush, rush, rush!!! Who would ever think
that the beauty and all the neat things to do would remind us of our love for one
another. This vacation was sorely needed for us both and I would like to thank
the Golf Channel for a marvelous 3 days.

We absolutely love vacationing at Walt Disney World. Aside from the terrific resort hotels, the theme parks are really fanatastic.
It really is a"world" unto itself - truly like stepping from the hectic "real" world into a magical getaway.
On our first trip, we were really amazed at how affordable Walt Disney World really is -- after hearing others say how expensive and crowded the parks were, we were happily surprised when we went and experienced for ourselves how truly affordable Disney really is! We have made several trips a year, loving each, and not breaking the bank in the process.
I love that the theme parks are for everyone -- even those who do not like rides. There are plenty of non-ride attractions and tons to look at -- my mother came with us on one trip, and while my husband and I had our son on the rides, she filled her day with just looking at the wonderful displays and scenery, never becoming bored in the week we were there.
There is truly something for everyone -- and at an affordable price as well :)

I have booked several Disney vacations through Walt Disney World Travel Company (the folks you reach when you call the Disney number you see on tv and in print ads to book a vacation) and have LOVED dealing with them. I know that most people prefer to book a trip through their own travel agents, but I will say that without a doubt they were better than any agent I previously booked through.
There are no "hard sell", no trying to rope you in to a pricier package -- they are there to help you get the vacation YOU want at the price YOU can afford.
I love the courteous staff, the ability to check on my reservation myself --if you book through a travel agent, *they* own the reservation, and you have to go through them -- if you book straight through Disney, you can check on and change things any time you want without a middleman (or middlewoman, lol) -- which is a feature I LOVE.
I really cannot recommend this enough -- I know some prefer their personal travel agents, but this is my preferred way of booking a Disney vacation.

I got to go the the Richard Petty Driving Experience, as a gift from my wife on our honeymoon. She's a keeper!
You have the choice of driving (which requires some classroom work, before you drive off into the sunset!) or riding which I opted for. My wife was surprised, she thought I would drive. I told her that I wanted to go fast, and if I drove, I would be more concerned about "bending" their car.
So after I was suited up, helmet on, picture taken off we went. Folks, this is really a rush. I don't usually drive around at over 140 miles an hour, so this had some "big grin" potential. I'm smiling now just thinking of it. =-) This is one time where "Being Petty" is a good thing.
Pros: Very professional, Great time, Thrill a minute
Cons: over too fast

Discovery Cove is beautiful and fun, there is nothing that can even compare to it. They have the coral reef to snorkle in and the HUGE tropical river which are both beautiful! They also have the bird/animal area. The day I went it was raining but still a very nice day-I even got to see 2 deer. I recommend Discovery Cove for anyone who goes to Orlando.
Pros: Unique, No lines
Cons: Pricy

Parking is no problem with their huge parking lot. Price is somewhat high. I paid $80 for the 2nd level of seating, which in the end, seemed to be a better deal than the more expensive ticket b/c you don't have to look up in order to see the performers. The performances were outstanding. Highly recommended to people who love watching musicals, acrobats and special tricks. There is a lot of variety from tight rope walkers to little girls doing their version of juggling to bicycle tricks. Great music to accompany the show as well.
PROS: Outastanding performances, music
CONS: somewhat high price

I live in Orlando and my brother's children were visiting for a few weeks during their spring break so I bought my daughter her friend and their cousins a 7-day Go Orlando Card. We had a few weeks to monkey around. With the card I took all four children to Cypress Gardens and the water park there, Kennedy Space Center, Gatorland, Minigolfing, Arabian Nights Dinner Theater, and Wonderworks. We also got some dining deals, the kids had fun and that's all I ask. I would recommmend this card to anyone who had some time to spend in Orlando and wanted to see many Orlando Attractions during that time period.
Pros: Value, Time Saving, Fun
Cons: I was satisfied with my experience
