Dr Gaterbaum has gone downhill since his rude wife took over as manager. He himself is a good doctor, but the glasses they prescribe and push you to use THEIR office to purchase them, is HORRIBLE. I had problems with several very expensive glasses in that the progressives were not right, and when i complained that i was seeing things like i was on LSD or something, they seemed to think i was nuts., Finally, the last straw was a horrible pair of sunglasses that were extremely distorted. I asked for my money back,,,,,,,they did it and asked me never to come back again. I since have a fabulous optomotrist who has changed my life with great glasses and great prices. Even Costco was better!! Beware of the wife.......she is a phoney, pushy and rude. Pros: nice guy, but...... Cons: lousy rude service

I am 53 years old. I have seen a lot optomitrist in my life. Dr Gaterbaum is the best I've seen. My wife was unhappy with at least one of the receptionist. She will not go back, but I personally have only had good experiences with everyone in the office. I high recommend Dr. Gaterbaum to everyone. Pros: Very knowledgeable and very thorough Cons: none

I had my followup treatment with him after RK surgery with Dr. Morillo several years ago in 1992. Decent guy, understated. I looked him up for an eye exam a couple of years ago. He did a thorough job and discounted my bill some because I did not have insurance. I had a little trouble with his office staff making apppointments though. I am going back to him again this month for an exam. Competent guy, not flashy, did a very good job and explained the details.

I have seen this Optemetrist since first moving to town and have followed their moves over the years to their present location. Dr. Gaterbaum and staff are friendly and take their time with each and every patient as if you are their only one, even with others waiting for their appointment. He has a way with his patients without the lectures and yet you leave wanting to follow his medical advice. PROS: Very pleasant doctor. CONS: Not a convenient location to where I live.
