Great Casual, Fun Food! The Loop on Wells Road 8/4/2006

I love the Loop! Seriously, it is one of my favorite places. I have been probably 100s of times over my life and I have never been unhappy with it. The Loop is a restaurant where you order at the counter, sit down, wait until they call your number and then go get your food. Pizzas (AWESOME pizza), burgers, salads, sandwiches, soups, etc. They have healthy food and unhealthy food. The prices are reasonable, it is relatively attractive inside, very clean, the booths are comfortable, etc. It is a great place to go for a quick, simple meal. Just don't go after 8ish on Monday nights. The Young Life kids go and they tend to take over the place. more

Losing quality because of expansion 9/14/2005

The Loop, even though a pizza restaurant at inception, used to have the very best burgers in Jacksonville. Huge, juicy and perfectly grilled burgers on a thick, chewy egg bun. On our last two trips to The Loop, our favorite burger was no more. The burger is still passable, but the quality and taste was lacking. Over the last few years, The Loop has expanded their menu to include more salads and "California" style wraps. In their search for 'signature' items, I fear they have lost the faithful patrons of their delicious burgers. The restaurants are fun, bright and eclectic in decoration. always clean, but walk up ordering. A bit overpriced. more
