all i can say is wow... and not in a good way. i used to frequent tango and it used to be a cool place to go. but i stopped by not to long ago food quality has gone down, food that was supposed to come out hot came out cold, cold food came out room temp like its been sitting for a while. the award winning sangria was horrible (please keep in mind i used to love this place) talked to a few of the regulars i had recognized and they all said its just been going downhill (apparently due to management?) cool servers or bartenders that remembered what you drank are no longer there. personally i don't think i'll be back anytime soon. its sad to say but this place just isn't what it used to be...

I visited Cafe Tu Tu Tango for a night out with my bro, girlfriend and friends. We had good service and ok food. I come there for the red sangria and the duck quesadilla. So we enjoyed the night drinking and one of my friend got a little sick because a little too much alochol, so I signed the check and went to check up on him in the restroom. While we got back to the table to leave, the guy manager during that night (10pm-12am Thursday night) told my bro "Please do me a favor and do not come back to Cafe Tu Tu Tango ever again because you left no tip for the waitress" When I heard this I was appalled and shock on a management would believe we did not tip purposely. Yes, my honest mistake we forgot to tip on cash. I signed the check as zero tip and put tip on cash. But besides the fact, he dealt with the situation very poorly to tell us in public "Not to come back ever again to Cafe Tu Tu Tango" I was embarrassed in front of my brother who came down to visit and my girlfriend. We ended tipping the waitress because it was brought to our knowledge, but in that manner by management was unacceptable. I work at a restaurant, so I know how tipping is important for servers." To go to Cafe Tu Tu Tango again is an insult to me and to anyone who happen to forget to tip. i wonder what he would say if someone gave a short ended tip? You guys decide....NO MORE at the Tango
Pros: ok drinks
Cons: managment, customer service

What happened? This place used to be in my fave 5! Now when I go there it's just like any other typical restaurant...but wait...at least Norm's has specials! No faces I recognize and the food is overpriced for the quality! Someone should wake up and bring back the old Tango, fun and personable staff, friendly management and an overall great vibe! Since I have an opening in my 'fave 5 maybe I'll try TGIF!

I normally dont write reviews but after reading the review below me I feel I had to say something closer to the truth! Ive been going to tango since it opened, and yeah it was one of the coolest places to go at the block! When the servers took your order, they actually sat down at the table with you which I thought was a great personal touch. Good things aren't meant to last I guess because the quality across the board has gone down! As far as people knowing your name...how can they know when everytime you go there they never have the same servers! I used to have favorites that have been their for a long time but they're all gone! The entertainment used to be of all different types, now its mostly belly dancers. The food quality has gone down as well as the portions! The atmosphere is not the same either. No more free humus while you make your menu selection, and the weekly additions which used to be a neat treat have stopped. One of the kickers for me was telling a date of mine all about wine wednesdays which was an on going monthly event, and showing up to tango only to find out that it had been canceled for a last minute party! Nice way to take care of your regulars! The manager at the time asked if I got the email but seemed like a lie to me! He then so graciously offered half off of any bottle of wine we bought, only thing is we already were entitled to that because we were wine club members! It was all about the experience and the people who showed up for it! Oh well funny thing, I heard a friend of mine who works at the block went in to use their bathrooms, and she hurt her hand as one of the doors that broke off on to it which reminds me they never could get a handle on having a sanitary bathroom as water was always all over the place and urinals covered in white plastic bags! Who writes a positive review that sounds like a commercial and stays anonymous?

I love this place! I didn't think I go there that often but there are some servers and hosts that greet me by name as I walk in! I'm not going to lie, it makes me feel very welcome! I also love the artwork. I was eating next to some guy who was painting this beautiful masterpiece. I love the music and the belly dancers as well. I cant believe how good looking the staff is too. Lots of lookers! AND they have a manager (I think hes a manager) who looks JUST like Justin Timberlake! Ask for him to dance for you!

Awesome place! Great food, great service, and it won't put a dent in your wallet. They have cute little plates you can pass around for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommended for groups and even first dates! I've been going here since college. Now that I'm married with a 3 year old daughter, we still come here for dinner . We usually reserve tickets for a movie first, then we eat at TuTu Tango for dinner while we wait for the movie. My standby favorite is the Gator Bites. YES, GATOR BITES!! Trust me, it tastes just like chicken (with an ever so slight hint of fish..not fishy, but fresh fish). If you happen to be in the OC, I recommend that you stop by this place!
Pros: Great food, awesome cocktails
Cons: Can get crowded, especially when there's a movie premiere across the way

It's like the American/French version of dim sum, except replace the waiters with carts with balloon artists! Cafe Tu Tu is a place you go more for the experiece than the food, though the food's great too. There are artworks hanging everywhere that are all on sale, making it feel like a restaurant and gallery in one. it's a good place to go ifyou're not feeling TOO hungry, and you just want to hang out somewhere that has a artsy vibe and live entertainment.
