Who doesn't like healthy food? Okay not everyone, but their is no denying that they have great healthy food. The portions are huge especially the salads. I love their hummus that is made with black beans and tortilla chips. I also am a huge fan of the summer salad which has cranberries, candied walnuts and chicken. The servers there are always friendly and usually very quick (unless you go at peak hours). Prices are really cheap and right now they are running a special all year where each month they offer something that is only a dollar. Last month it was hummus and I was surprised by how large the portion was. My only complaint is they are closed on Sundays. Other than that I love going there because I feel skinny when I leave.

I've been here a few times to meet up with friends before hitting the town. There are a lot of better places to eat for the $$, but the view is outstanding. The food is alright but this place falls in the catagory of most places with a great view.......overpriced, average food. Go for drinks and appetizers, but save your tastebud $$ for restaurants that are more serious about their food. Cheers. If you want a better restaurant go to Orange Hill or Summit House which are located in the Orange County area.

This is one of three Rutabegorz in the County. The other two are in Fullerton and Tustin. All are in buildings that are non-traditional for a restaurant. You seat yourself here and the menus are newsprint and probably ten pages long. I have certain dishes here that I love and others that are just pathetic and I can't believe they charge you for them (primarily the cheese bread). Once you figure out what you like, it's a great place. I generally take out of town visitors here because there is a lot of variety and character. I like: Vegetarian black bean chili Garlic Chicken Salad Veggie Thai Salad Thai Wrap Chicken Spinach crepes Walnut that kissed the chicken sandwich I don't like: Cheese bread Peasant mushrooms Mexican casserole A lot of people also like the seafood enchiladas, but they are super cheesy for me. The salads are generally huge, so be prepared. I think their soup selection is sort of lame. The sanwiches are generally good, but maybe a little overpriced for me. Service varies. In Orange it is ok. I've waited forever at the Fullerton location for coffee refills. For the most part the servers are great and friendly, but there are just random ones who are busy dealing with friends or can't handle the crowds. Be warned: THe brownie sundae is HUGE. enough for 3 people. The coconut almond bars are rad. Great microbrews beers.

Although this restaurant is considered a vegetarian restaurant, there is still a fair amount of choice within the menu. You can order chicken and other alternatives to meat dishes. Rutabegorz is located just outside the Orange Circle, not far from Chapman University. The location is an old house so it has that homestyle feel yet it is decorated quite intimately and comfortably. Try the chicken quesadilla with guacamole, it's delicious.
