I've been to Koji's both at The Block and in Hollywood. While I enjoyed the ambience at both places, I liked the layout at The Block better. The servers are very courteous and I never had to wait long for my food to come. My family and I always order the Meat Lovers combination with 3 choices of beef. What I love most about Koji's and why I give it 5 stars is because of the sauce you dip the meat in. It is nothing I have ever tasted before. Very delicious and original.

I have been there three times and loved it so much that I took my whole family over there... no doubt, the food is fresh, excellent, the service great... I have tried the sushi bar which I loved and we had a dinner at the tapaniaki table where the chef not only prepared the best food but offered an entertaining moment... you can definitely bring children who will love the owner's attention and kindness... believe it or not, he goes from table to table to check on everyone and never forgets to spoil the kids by giving them presents that he seems to be choosing with care... this is a very very good and enjoyable experience that you will make there... so do not hesitate, you won't regret it!!!
Pros: Best sushis I have had so far
Cons: Can't really think of one!!!

Todai is an all-you-can-eat buffet with excellent customer service, and also has great variety of foods. There is a great selection of hot meals and cold served meals such as sushi. The price is usually affordable and the waiters are very courtious and do not need to be reminded to perform actions. The only real problem I can find about this store is that it is often crowded.
PROS: Great Food, Excellent Customer Service, Good Price
CONS: Crowded

My first visit here, but recommended by friends. My party made reservations for opening time, as the place is busy and we wanted to seat 5 at the sushi bar. The sushi bar only had 3 empty seats by 11:45 on a Thursday morning, which indicates its popularity.
My friends had mentioned that the proprietor, Sam, was proud of his establishment and could be slighted by things we didn't think were consequential, like rubbing splinters off of chop sticks (which is an insult since he provides quality chopsticks) or dipping a lettuce roll which has its own sauce, into soy sauce (which ruins the subtle flavors in the roll). I did the latter on my first roll (which did overpower the taste), but didn't notice any reaction from the proprietor. I didn't ask him which fish was fresh (he takes pride in his business and this could be considered a slight) but asked for a recommendation.
There was a good variety of fish, some that I've never had during my 25 years of sushi dining. This was the first time I've had scallops (nigiri), skipjack (nigiri), or fresh lobster (served in a soy roll). I was impressed by all three of these; the flavors were all very subtle and delicious. In addition, I had salmon skin roll and a (non-fried) shrimp/jalapeno in a lettuce roll- the one I accidentally dipped in soy sauce. Other people in my party had crunchy shrimp roll (tempura shrimp- maki style), unagi, and salmon with green onions (nigiri) - one of our party says it's the best she's ever had.
All of my dishes were excellent. The fish was fresh and delicate. The rice in the nigiri was well packed- I didn't have the problem of the sushi falling apart between the soy sauce and my mouth. The service was very friendly and never rushed- our party of 5 stayed 1.5 - 2 hours.
Overall, this was an experience to savor, which we did. If I didn't live 350 miles away, I'd be a regular.
Excellent job, Sam!
Pros: Food (delicious), service, friendliness of staff
Cons: Very popular

This is one of the better Japanese cuisine places I've been to thus far. Besides rolls, they also offer several combo plates. The salmon combo is thus far my favorite, and the prices are relatively do-able. I don't live in Orange anymore, but whenever I'm in town, I'm sure to stop by and have a meal and pay a visit to the family that owns the business. They're super nice!

This establishment is clean and the service is friendly. They just opened, but everyday i see more and more people there to enjoy there fresh seaweed salad or tasty mango mochi ice cream. The service is so fast i've never waited longer than 3-4 minutes for a meal for two. I was so surprised when i saw this large size bowl filled with chicken (white meat mostly) and fresh vegetables. The food is delicious and i love their can of green tea imported from japan.Again they have really friendly service and fresh ingredients for the right price. I can get two chicken bowls and green tea ice cream and california rolls all for under $20. You gotta check it out!
Pros: Great price, Excellent service, Great food, Nice size TV to watch while you wait!
Cons: None

Fresh, delicious, and chef always knows how to pair dinner with the right sake. The family owned restaurant creates a warm environment. Sitting at the bar is the best seat in the house as you watch the chef prepares his creation. Reasonably priced, not cheap, but serious sushi here folks: absolutely worth visiting.

Wow, absolutely amazing. I never would have thought that one of the most exquisite Japanese restaurant??????s I??????ve been to in the US would be in my old hometown of Orange. Run by a friendly husband and wife team, Ohshima provides a refreshingly eclectic and delicious take on the traditional Japanese small plate dinner with global combinations and exciting textural juxtapositions.

Great family recipie. Where else can you geat a large protion of great tasting chicken teriyaki (I like mine mild spicy!), rice, fresh green salad for only $5.30?? (Bowls as low as $2.95) My wife and I have take out once a week -- this food is very flavorful. Located just south of the 91 freeway in a small strip mall at Glassel and Riverdale (perfect for quick lunch or dinner if you are staying at the Embassy Suites). Not fancy but quick and clean. The owner is your server and cook and very nice. All food is cooked-to-order; this is not some asian food place where the food is getting old and cool in a tray behin glass. This is the real thing at a great bargin.
Pros: Great value, flavor--owner cook is very nice and hospitable
Cons: None

Over the summer, I walked to yogis with my friends for lunch. It's a small place, but the foods are good. It's normally not crowded. People normally come here during their lunch hours.
