I have naturally curly hair that just baffles me. So Jessica convinced me to try straightening it - and it's awesome! She's very careful to make sure my hair doesn't get damaged through the process. Never pushes products or services. She pays careful attention to everything she does. And she gives great advice for pretty much all parts of life =)
Pros: professional, experienced, fun to talk to, knowledgeable
Cons: hmm. . . she has days off?

I just got back from Salon Rebelle and for a weave ( which yes takes a long time ) it cost me $185.00. With tip of $25.00 it was $200!!!. For me this was very expensive to do every 4 to 6 weeks. This did not include a cut or anything else. Just the weave and my hair is shoulder length. The main solonist has an assistant so maybe that is why it is so much money, or I am just out of the loop on how much everything costs. I liked the color, blondish with my hair being light brown but there were no other tints.
Pros: Nice People
Cons: Tooo Expensive

The prices are more than I'm used to paying buy my hair always looks great and I get a lot of compliments on it.
I'm knocking off 2 stars because so many of their receptionists are prissy and rude, and dirty and I wish they carried a larger variety of hair products and brands. I'm just not that into Schwarzkopf.

I recently moved to the OC and desperately needed a hairdresser. I have naturally blonde hair, but as the years go by it is getting darker. I started highlighting my hair about 10 years ago. I tried a few places since coming to Orange County, and it seems each hair dresser made me way too blonde-which I thought made me look harsh and my hair brassy, or yellow. I explained the difficulty I had experienced with prior OC hairdressers, and Jennifer recommended a highlight and low lights as well too bring my hair back to a more natural look. All I can say is WOW!!!! She did an amazing job. I will refer her to all of my friends--and wanted to put a review on CitySearch as it was through this site I found the Salon Rebelle, read the reviews and decided to call and make an appointment with Jennifer.
Pros: Cute salon, great area (Orange Circle), nice staff, and Jennifer is awesome!!!!
Cons: Some may think a bit pricey, but well worth it, believe me!!!!

I found this salon on city search and I had read some good review so I decided to check it out. I have naturally black hair but it is currently dyed blonde. I get my roots done every six weeks and I needed a new hair stylist. I called and made an appointment with Angelina and everything turned out great; however, the second time I went to see her again to get my roots done I left the salon and they were bright orange. I called back to complain and the receptionist made me an appointment with the manager Elizabeth. I came in and she fixed the problem. The second time I went to see Elizabeth again because I was pleased with her work she told me she was going to use a purple based dye to help the blonde color look better. I had told her that I had a party to attend that night. I walked out of the salon and looked at my hair in the mirror and there were hints of an unsightly green color. I immediately ran back inside and asked her about it and she said that it was common when using the purple dye. Hearing this, it became obvious to me that not only had she not warned me about this but also that she had noticed it and did not say anything to me when she was stying my hair. I would NEVER let my client go to a party with streaks of green in their hair nor would I hope that they don't notice that there are green streaks by not saying anything. She fixed the problem by putting a little bleach on and then toning it again. I made a third appointment with Elizabeth and right now my hair color is uneven, my roots are slightly orange and after closer examination I notice random orange blotches further down my hair. The salon policy is to not refund money to dissatisfied customers but to redo the job. I refuse to go back there ever again. Also, Elizabeth overbooks her clients and spends only about 1/3 of the time with them while her assistant does all the work. Instead of putting me under a steamer she would have me sit in a chair so that she can help two people at once.
Pros: none
Cons: none

I've been going to Salon Rebelle forever, I can't imagine going anywhere else. Darryl Holiday does it right, he's got a great sense of style, knows just the right colors to use, and will always keep me coming back - plus he's mildly funny :) The salon is very sheik, everyone's real friendly and they even have fun jewelry to accent your fabulous new cut.

Salon Rebelle is the only hair salon I trust to cut my locks. I'm all about trying new things but when it comes down to my hair, I don't want just anyone to mess with it. It's been a few years since I've been going to Darryl Holiday, my awesome stylist. I think he's been in the business for 16+ years (he doesn't even look that old) :) He knows exactly what to do with my hair, and I walk out every time a satisfied customer. He knows how to play with the colors to get just the look you want. He?s also talented at styling and using a razor for an edgier look. He even created an awesome up-do for my wedding. All around it?s a great salon with great people.
The decor at the salon has a vintage, cool vibe to it. . Also, the girls at the front desk are great. They get to know you by name and welcome you each visit. I think they take walk-ins, but you might want to make an appointment to be sure you can be seen.
Pros: Yes, many work there!
Cons: N/A
