My wife and I ate here last night on the suggestion of friends and really enjoyed ourselves. The prime rib was some of the best I have ever had and the portion size was immense. We had a late lunch so I actually ordered the PETITE size. I could barely finish it. It came with a southwestern style slaw that had a really nice zip to it. Wine prices by the bottle I actually thought were cheap and would have given a five star rating except our server was really clueless when it came to wine selections. Other than a minor glitch in that category, our plans are to go back often.

We had the crab leg special earlier this week and were really impressed. I am from Seattle and finding honest to goodness seafood in Omaha has been a challenge. No problem here. Everything I have tried so far has been super good. The crab leg special at just $19.95 is a real steal so we plan to go back often before this special is gone. Oh, and the patio is really cool too.

Finally, Omaha is growing up. Among the myriad of fast food venues disguised as restaurants, an exception as finally come to Omaha and it is called Prestige. How fitting! The term casual-upscale dining has never fit a venue better than this. Casual in the sense that the staff is absolutely superb at making you feel like family in a good old fashioned Midwestern way. But upscale in terms of what the venue offers. An awesome menu that includes the best of the best without sacrificing quality. I have had everything from the Lobster Nachos to the Swordfish Oscar and every time I am blown away by the quality and presentation of my food. No, Prestige staff won't bore you to tears rambling on with a scripted dialogue of their nightly specials. What they will do is take your order in a nice, I am glad you are here manner and then serve it up so quick that you might think you were at a fast food restaurant but one bite, and you know this food was made from scratch. And prices are VERY reasonable. A comparable dinner at a snooty restaurant would cost 2-3 times more without any improvement in quality. The wine list is excellent and just as reasonably priced. A couple can enjoy a five star dinner including nice bottle of wine for under $1205. Or, if you prefer, you can have a wonderful 3-4 star dinner with drinks for well under $100, take your pick. If you live in Omaha and have not given Prestige a try, you are missing the boat. If you are visiting and don't put Prestige on your to go list you are just plain crazy.

Good: We were absolutely blown away when we walked into this place. This restaurant instantly makes you forget that you are in Omaha and transports you to destinations such as New York, Scottsdale, AZ or San Diego. Very chic and staffed with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the food was fabulous.. Bad: That we stayed downtown and had to drive out west to get to this place.. Improvements: More locations.

Prestige has the coolest patio in Omaha by far. It is HUGE and they always have tiki torches burning. It overlooks a lake on a golf course which is so nice cuz every other patio in Omaha overlooks a parking lot which is just not fun anymore. Omaha needs more places like Prestige cuz the place is always packed.
