Squaw Valley is perhaps Lake Tahoe's most adventurous and best ski resort. It's also the most expensive, with a lift ticket costing you around $70. (And that doesn't include any rentals or food!) It has the most challenging terrain of any of the resorts in Lake Tahoe, and also usually gets the most snow. There are over 35 lifts at Squaw Valley, taking you to everything from beyond double black diamond to easy green bunny runs. If you're an adventure skiier or boarder, then Squaw Valley is for you. Squaw Valley hosted a previous winter olympics--I don't remember what year--and the KT-22 run is trecherous, steep, fast, and fun. Crazy skiiers of all types will enjoy going down this wacko run.
