The food here is just OK. The only thing that I think is really good are the steamer clams. Everything else is just average. It is nice in the summer because it's right on the water.

We stopped at The Oyster House after cross country flight and ate everything in sight. Both cod and chips and oysters and chips were terrific. Cole slaw with either raisins or currents was the best we've ever had. We tried to return on our way back to airport but two weeks had past and we couldn't remember where we were or how we found it. Now that we're home, I'm hoping they will give me their recipe for cole slaw so I can make it myself.
Pros: Cole Slaw

I remember going here as a kid for Olympia Oysters (an absolute delicacy) almost 50 years ago and was sad when I came back to town a few years past to find it closed. It is nice to have an old friend back and almost as good as it used to be. Like the 3 Crabs in Sequim, The Olympia Oyster House is a must when vivsiting the South Sound.
Pros: Food, Location, History

We've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. On our first visit we shared the Oyster House Feast (lobster tail, oysters rockefeller, skewered prawns, steamed snow crablegs, steamer clams, and boiled salmon and halibut). The seafood was fresh and expertly cooked. The second time I returned with a friend and we both had the crabcakes. Their texture was light and crispy and moist inside. Especially nice touch: they were light on the breading/fillers, so the cake was mostly crab. Am eager to return to sample their other offerings. Service and staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere.
Pros: quality seafood
