You want the truth? Meconi's makes the greatest subs on earth, I'm convinced. They are bigger, cheaper, and taste better than all their competitors, what isn't to love about Meconi's? The service is good, and it's a perfect location to just grab a sub and eat in or take it out for a walk around Capitol Lake. I buy a Meconi's at least once a week and the only bad thing I could say about this place is that it's closed on Sundays. I would recommend the egg salad sub on wheat, it's what I always get. It goes overlooked by people because when you think sub you don't think egg, but it is for sure one of the best (if not the best) sub they make. It is a bit messy but who cares. Take the egg salad and grab some pita chips and just make an afternoon of it. Meconi's is the best subs ever at the best price ever. I don't know what I would do without it. Thank you, Meconi's.

As an East Coaster, it's the food I tend to miss the most. Meconi's brings me home. The fresh bread starts the taste buds a rollin', then the generous portions of cold cuts gets you a delicious sub!! My personal favorite is the meatball sub with flavorful meatballs, red sauce and loaded with provolone and parmesan cheese. YUM!!!! The salads are fresh and delicious too! A large chef salad is "large"! They have two locations, one by the Capitol and one in Lacey.

Going to Meconi's is always a delight. You quickly realize what a difference fresh ingrediants and decent service makes in a sandwich- and how bland those other sub places are. I'm personally devoted to the BLT sub, but by all means, stop by and try something else. You're guaranteed to love it. The locations themselves seem a bit bland- the Capitol location less so than the Lacey one- but who cares, with food this good? Service is relatively quick, good for those on their lunch hour. I usually buy a whole sub, as they wrap their sandwiches in tin foil, so they keep rather well. For orders over $20, delivery is available.

This is really more of a lunch/sub sandwich venue than "Italian"... Meconi's has GREAT subs. You can order the 6' or a foot-long. The foot-long is a better deal, if you're starving, you can eat the whole thing, or save the other half for dinner. Also, order the sandwich "melted"... This place gets SUPER swamped during the 12-1pm lunch hour, especially during the legislative session, so my recommendation is to call ahead and get take-out.
