I have found only one restaurant (in Bremerton) with better subs, but they went out of business. Meconi's now stands alone as the best place for a sandwich in Washington State (and I've been looking for somewhere closer). The downtown atmosphere is pretty fun, too, on a warm day. Best bet is to call ahead with your order during the weekday lunch rush. Make sure to order it cosmo (hot).

Thier bread is an interesting blend of seasonings that make for a great sandwich. The food is slightly higher than corperate competitors, but it is much better. Because of how busy they get I would recomend calling in your order and then picking it up.
Pros: Homeade Breads, variety of toppings
Cons: Crowded, Limited Parking
