I've eaten in alot of restaurants from coast to coast, down south all the way to Key West. Sure, Ben Moore's doesn't look like much, but that's what keeps it a haven for the regulars whom are consistently treated well. Most of the bad reviews seem to come from the cafe and not the dinner restaurant located in the back. I've been a waitress in this town, and if you come in at the same time as the notoriously BAD TIPPER STATE WORKERS, you probably won't get great sevice from the harried staff. Try coming for dinner, tip well (the menu is very reasonably priced) and you will have a great experience.
Pros: best and cheapest seafood in town
Cons: all the cheapskates that annoy the staff

I love Budd Bay- fantastic menu (seafood, steak, chicken, salads) and the staff is friendly. On warm summer days, go and sit out on the deck in the sun. My favorite lunch fare is the Seafood Saute Salad over spinach. Yum! The food is high quality and prices are better than average. They also have a Sunday Brunch (with bottomless mimosa's) that is wonderful.

Brewery City Pizza is by far my favorite local pizza haunt and as far as specialty pizzas go, they provide the best. The Chicken Cordon Bleu pizza is worth every penny and even though you'll have to log a couple extra hours in the gym that first bite makes up for it.
Quality 10/10
Atmosphere 7/10
Price 8/10

One of the most amazing places you would ever want to park your tummy for food that is prepared from the heart to the hands...
I used to work there back in the 90's when I left the previous place I was cooking at due to the manager's where I was working bought this little hole in the wall...they were the BEST bosses a guy (or gal...LOL) could ever want! Their love for their customers shows up triple in their love for good affordable food for the family.
They always have the best in whom they hire to work for them...and even though I have not been there in a while (I live in Grays Harbor), I am sure it has still got what it takes to fill the tummy with nothin' but yummy!
Pros: Affordable for even a college student!
Cons: A long ways from home.

I was treated to Cold Stone one day with a freind and later took my children back as a treat for good report cards. Since they we visit cold stone on a regular basis. The price is higher them some ice cream stores but you get much larger portions and the available options are amazing. No matter what you want in your ice cream they probably have it. WIth the combinations availbale its possible to get a different combination every day of the year and not get the same thing twice. They are located in the same shopping certer with Safeway and Lowes in Lacey.
PROS: large choice of ice cream and toppings, large portions
CONS: portions are to large for young children

I have been a customer at Ramblin' Jack's basically since they opened. I like the people and the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and not pushy over specials, etc. I had an incident one time with one staff member on an extremely busy night and we were both crabby, so to be fair part of the fault was mine; and the manager not only dealt with the situation promptly but followed up with me and insisted on "the house" buying my dinner on a subsequent night. Going in there as a woman dining alone, I almost always sit in the bar with a book and it isn't a "meat market" atmosphere, it's very comfortable and hospitable. Boy...this makes me want to run down there for a Cosmo right now! My favorite dishes: Thai chicken pizza, cowgirl salad (add pulled pork), and shepherd's pie on a cold rainy night. The long-time manager knows you by name if you go in very often and always makes a point to stop by the table and say hello; unfortunately, he's going to manage their new place at the mall when it opens so I hope the environment stays positive after he transfers - or maybe I'll just have to start going there!

First off, I don't know what to say about the other review from over four years ago, but I do know their menu has changed almost entirely since then, and I have never personally had an issue.
I don't know what "Angry Veal Man's" problem was, but his review sounds more like vendetta and obsession than fact. Who gives a darn if a cook is smoking outside? Talk about nitpicky! Did he forget to kick his dog or something??
I found his review posted on several sites, meaning he has WAY too much time on his hands! As Ace Ventura once said: "Obsess much??"
I have been going to Pellegrino's Italian Kitchen for years, and used to go to their Harborside location many years ago. I know the family personally, and it offends me that someone would go to so much effort to cost them business. They are an icon in the community and very active in charity work and donations, so hurting them only hurts the community at large.
I am a veal lover and have it at least half the time I go there. My favorite dish is the veal parm, and I have never once had an issue with it.
Further, I've never had an issue with the professionalism of the staff. No, it's not El Goucho, but it sure as heck isn't the free-for-all that this other guy says he encountered. God forbid that employees enjoy their work and have fun!
So if you want great veal (or pasta, or whatever else Italian), I highly recommend Pellegrino's Italian Kitchen, and highly refute the angry, obsessive words contained in the other review!
Pros: Great, consistent food and service
Cons: Pellegrino family no longer running Tyee location
