I always feel badly giving someone a negative review and I want to temper my review of Randy by saying that I think he is personable but, I just feel like he did not really care about me or give me and my hair the attention I deserved. Three people have asked me about salons in the past few weeks as they are moving to the area. Another poster/reviewer contacted me as well, so I felt compelled to follow up my glowing initial report with the resulting review. It sounds like other clients are very happy with Randy's service and cuts, so I hope anyone reading reviews will carefully weigh them all to make a decision...one negative does not mean that the salon does not excel in other areas-And you can't help but like Randy, I just need more attention to the overall health and longevity of my hair.

I initially reviewed Randy positively but have since had a negative experience. I agree with last post that Randy is often distracted and flirting with other clients and random people who come into the salon instead of paying attention to what he is doing. He has even taken phone calls while actively doing my highlights-a big faux pas in this customer service industry....and basic home-training. My first two sets of highlights were lovely, but over time he showed blatant disregard for the condition and health of my hair. As a result I have spent the last nine months with a new stylist trying to undo what damage Randy did. I believe the stylist has a responsibility to tell the client that their hair cannot sustain the color/cut/treatment they are requesting if it means irrepairable damage. The culmination of his highlights over time, and how he applied them without giving consideration to the difference of the ends as compared to the scalp was unprofessional. I will not go back and will recommend my new stylist to my friends and clients as she is concerned about the health of my hair as well as the color. In the end that will make for a long-lived relationship between client and stylist...not a short fix like Randy offers.

Good: I had a wonderful experience with Randy at Euphorium. I was really in need of a new look, but didn't want anything too drastic. Randy took the time to listen to my ideas and concerns, and I came away from my appointment with an updated style and rich color-I loved it! He took the time to listen and then get the cut and color just right-something you don't get at every salon. I liked that I felt pampered and like I had been spoiled while I was at Euphorium.. Other: I also really love that I am offered coffee, tea or wine when I am at the salon. It makes it even more of an event. The products are wonderful-I love the aromatherapy component of the Aveda products. Thank you Randy!.

Curiously these unidentified Guests of my salon,posted the day after I had to fire some one for not showing to work! This person thought their termination was unreasonable! I really have appreciated Judy's Book in conjuction with some very satisfied Guests and the things that they have said.I beleive its intent is to guide people through honest feedback!If a "Guest" felt such strong negative feelings about their experience here,then why not identify themselves? I've been a hairdresser for quite a while,I know I can be accountable and learn from my mistakes! Although I truly think these unidentified "Guests" are phantom,I will use them to take a close look at our Salon and make sure that these kind of things do not actually happen!

Good: I have been going to Randy at Euphorium for the past four years and will not go anywhere else! He cuts my hair to my direction every time...I can't say that about other stylists I have been to. A girlfriend of mine with curly hair goes to Randy and recommended that I go too. I am so glad that I did!. Bad: I don't have any complaints.. Other: Randy keeps me looking updated and can talk to me about cars and bowling, so I can relate to him. Go to Randy...you won't be disappointed..

Randy is probably the worst hair stylist I have ever been to. Not only did he show up late, but he kept calling me by a different name. He told me he didn't know how to style my hair and he barely cut of any of the length I had asked. He seemed confused about where things were at his station and he is the owner!!
He had converstions at his station about other clients which is so tacky!!
I did not have a good experience with Randy and can't fathom why he has so many positive reviews.

A friend had referred me to this salon to see Randy and when I went to get my hair cut and colored I was supremely disappointed. The salon itself was completely disorganized and cluttered. It looked like there wasn't much attention paid to the cleanliness of the salon. I had asked for a trim and he ended up taking 3 additional more inches off than I had asked for. I had brought in a picture to show him the color that I wanted in my hair, and it ended up 2 shades darker than I had wanted. He told me it would fade in time, but when I leave a salon, I shouldn't have to wait a couple weeks to get the desired color. He was very distracted the the whole time I was in his chair, talking to other clients and stylists, which probably explains the major mistakes that happened. When I tried to reschedule to have him fix it, he said I should wait a few more days, but I was really unhappy with the color and decided if he wouldn't take the time to make me happy and fix it, that I wouldn't take the time to come back. I had really high hopes as my friend had always had great haircuts, but I will sure as hell will not be going back to Euphorium and suggest that you don't either.

I used Judy's book to find a new hairdresser and after reading what reviewers said about Randy, I decided to try him. Huge mistake! I saw him more than once, maybe 4 or 5 times to give him a fair chance. He takes forever, sometimes over an hour for just a trim (I have shoulder length wavy/curly hair with bangs, nothing tricky). He was never able to give me a decent cut. He even remarked to me in jest that he had no idea how to do my hair!! That remark was all too true, and after that, I never saw him again. Don't waste your hard earned money on him!

Randy gives great cuts! I started with him from another recommendation that he is the person to go if you have had a bad cut. And they were right! I wear my hair short and it has a natural wave to it. Somehow, he knows how to make it look great and contemporary too. I'd recommend him highly to anyone. Also, he listens really well.

I have had both Gary and Randy cut my hair, and I especially would trust nobody else with the complex asymmetrical haircut I had until recently. They are the only stylists that have ever made hair cutting both an art and a science. I have fine, curly hair that was sloppy looking without their help. They helped me get the refined, low-maintenance look that I'd been hoping for.
In a perfect world, with tons of money, I'd see them monthly...it's the most I've paid for a haircut, but I will still keep going when I can.
