I'd heard about Swings-N-Things for years, and finally got there last summer. What a great place. They've got batting cages, all sorts of indoor games from Skee-Ball to video games, and they serve FANTASTIC ice cream.
You can also do a lot of other stuff there - minigolf, go carts, bumper boats. There's more than enough there to justify several visits.
It's really easy to reach from major freeways. The ullltimate kid fun place.

Being here for four months, I found in Le Bistro du Beaujolais my niche. It is my French paradize! You find an attentive service, affordable and nice wine list. it is very typical from France.
I can`t wait for the patio to open. This is a place where you can go for a romantic dinner or just to have good food and share this experience with your friends...
Pros: Attentive service
Cons: A little bit far for East sider

My friend treated me to lunch here and I've been back several times since. It's a clean, bright place. The food is good and the price is a good value. I had soup and sandwich and the portions were so generous, I could barely finish them. OK, I confess - I managed dessert, too (which was also good.)

This is a tiny carryout business. They sell Chinese, Cantonese, etc. foods. We stopped here several times after visiting a relative in a hospital. This food rejuvenated our spirits because it was excellent.

Abigayles's is in the quaint Pacific Junction complex in an old house. Very charming setting and packed to the rafters with bolts of good quality fabric. Lots of Hoffmans. Good prices and plenty of help to cut yardage. Great samples - a good place to get ideas for new projects. Good selection of quilting books.

These guys specialiize in wines for around 10 to 15 bucks ... wine tastings offer you a chance to sample 4 to 6 wines for about $10. A small cheese and craker plate is provided, but they don't mind if you bring other things to eat (not a bad idea). A smallish place, in the cold weather the seating is limited, but that's part of the charm. The help is usually friendly and helpful. For what you pay, a decent deal. Plus, the Bistrou de Beaujolais is just a short walk away for a nice meal.
