They have alot of great pieces, that are really quite unique and unlike these larger stores they really seem to care about both the quality of their pieces and really what you the consumer wants. Although their prices are higher so this isnt the store for the person on a tight budget.

If you want unusual, artistic floral designs...this is the place!!! The owner and the designers are skilled designers. I have had them do traditional displays and they can do that too!!! CC is a full-service florist...they can help you send flowers out of town, they will deliver them in the area, they will whip something up while you wait. they also have one of the best selections of unusual cut flowers in the area.

One of Buddies' weekly specials is their Monday Night 30 cent wings. They're not available any other day of the week. They're absolutely wonderful and I'd encourage wing-aficionados to stop by any of their 3 locations and try them out!!
They also have great wait staff and bartenders... always friendly and welcoming.
Pros: Wonderful sauce, very spicy, little sweet, awesome!

This is a big-city music shop packed into the relatively small city of Okemos, MI. It is packed with music, instruments, and a very knowledgable staff that knows their stuff.
They also offer lessons at White Bros. for Guitar, Piano, you name it. The last visit I made was to purchase new guitar strings, and I didn't know what to buy exactly. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly to help me find exactly what I needed.
I would recommend White Bros. if you are looking to get into music, or if you are simply looking for sheet music, guitar strings, you name it. They've got it all.

Before you visit any jewelry store in the mall, be sure to visit the independant jewelers around the area. One great example of this is Medawar Jewelers. They have locations around Lansing and in Jackson, I believe.
Their prices and quality actually beat the larger stores like Zales, JB Robinson, etc. I only wish that I would have visited this store before I purchased the diamond engagement ring for my wife a few years ago from Zales. Their service is horrible, Medawar, however, is excellent.
They have a huge selection and are always eager to help you choose the perfect item.

I've been shopping at Bottoms Up for dancewear ever since i began dancing. I feel it is the best place for dancewear around!! It has every thing you will ever need and the faculty is very nice. The two people that own it are kind beyond all reasons and definitely know what theyre doing! If you need point shoes or a leotard, bottoms up is the place to go!
Pros: Very nice staff
Cons: a little pricy and a little small

I won a gift card to shop at this jewelry store. I felt a little intimidated when I went in but found the associates to be very friendly. I looked around for quite a while before making a selection and was never bothered or followed. I felt quite comfortable shopping here. They have very beautiful jewelry. If you can afford it, you should go here!

Local jewelers are really hard to come by in my opinion and this store exemplifies that struggle. That is they are really not bad by any means but they are not good by any means either. They are just in the middle of the bell curve. I am quite partial to Medawar if you want awesome service as well as good quality.
